List of wanted items from NY

My DH is going on a trip to NY and has asked me for a list of items that he could get me, so far my list consists of;

Banana Republic (or similar) knits
a pair of converse
vest tops
perhaps some MAC makeup

What would be on your wanted list? I'm looking to add to mine as I'm missing out on the trip!

I would also ask him to pop into Victoria Secret (check out website) for

  • Bra and Knickers
  • Cotton PJ bottoms with silk ties
  • Lovely soft hoodies for sunday am lounging

also

Dean and Deluca - Spice mix tins, not S&B (its a HUGE Deli, they are amazing!)

Thanks for these suggestions will check out website. I like the sound of the soft hoodies as the weather is so miserable today.

I was there a year ago and didn't find converse that much cheaper, but Uggs were half price as were Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch for lovely hoodies.

Make up wise they yes Mac is cheaper but check out Sephora (you can see what they do on their website) which is a huge make up shop all over nyc they do their own brand which is ruddy fab along with urban decay, stila, laura mercer etc all much much cheaper. If you are a nail polish fan then OPI and Essie are half price. Also Calvin Klein are silly cheap in Macys for some reason. The other place I would make a beeline for is Bath and Body works who do really unusual smellies and a great home scents collection too.

When I went I bought so much stuff I was well over my allowance and I pretty much took an empty suitcase too!

Madwell, I think its an offshoot of J Crew is fantastic for classic knits and general good quality, well cut day clothes. Good not to $$ cashmere aswell :o.

ohh starjules is right - Sephora is so lovely. It's like a candy shop for adults and their own brand make up accessories are great value and truly amazing quality.
