Are these shoes really foul?

They are incredibly comfortable.

I need some shoes to go with a navy blue dress and cream sequin shrug whispers for a wedding. The consensus seems to be to wear nude shoes, but they don't work with my dark skin. Am struggling to find anything with sensible sized heels - will be on my feet for a good 12 hours.

this might work

Collision Wed 31-Aug-11 12:01:04

it did not

Your link for you...

Which just goes to the main page blush

not keen on the gold - sorry!

Collision Wed 31-Aug-11 12:03:37

navy suede might be more useful

Your link goes to a pair of gold high heels BOF!

They look a bit sensible, but if you're on your feet for 12 hours, sensible is probably good. I prefer the teal over the gold.

Collision - I looked at the navy ones but the comments said it was actually more of a purple colour.

Really struggling to find anything, as I can't do really thin heels.

Actually they are not as bad as I thought, they might work well with your skin too.
If you can see your self wearing them again buy them, otherwise don't.
<sorry for lame advice>

Link to the dress and then we can judge comment on maybe a totally clashing different colour!!

tassisssss Wed 31-Aug-11 12:08:00

If you're looking for navy, have you seen these which are patent and suede and lovely.

Don't like the gold, sorry.

Collision Wed 31-Aug-11 12:09:15

these would look good with navy

flibbertigibbert Wed 31-Aug-11 12:10:27

Dress - minus the black beading which I have altered

flibbertigibbert Wed 31-Aug-11 12:12:58

tassissss - really like those teal shoes but worried they might be too bright, especially as I have another colour in the cardi.

What about the tan ones? They would work with my skin tone

Mumsnut Wed 31-Aug-11 12:13:58

I think the gold would be be fine with purply blue and dark skin, esp if you're staying to dance in the evening.

Collision Wed 31-Aug-11 12:14:41

Can you not just get some really high ones and sit down a lot? wink

Lovely dress and shrug BTW

Collision Wed 31-Aug-11 12:15:09

I just think the gold is a bit Clarks-y and Strictly Come Dancing!!

flibbertigibbert Wed 31-Aug-11 12:16:32

Collision - I really am awful in heels. The ceremony is in an old church with cobbles outside, and I will end up on the floor if I don't wear sensible shoes

Collision Wed 31-Aug-11 12:17:26

Have you tried New Look?

Over the years I have spent a fortune on shoes but the comfiest of all are from New Look! £5 wedges

Some ideas here

Those grey ones are lovely Collision. Just worried they might be too high, but I'm tempted to order them and try them out - at least they do have quite a chunky heel

Insomnia11 Wed 31-Aug-11 12:33:31

How about these?

Good reviews.

flibbertigibbert Wed 31-Aug-11 12:41:29

Insomnia - I like the colour of those but not the ankle strap - think it would be v unflattering as I have quite short fat legs.
