Which boots are we wearing this winter?

snowmummy · 30/08/2011 15:33

I need some new brown or tan boots this winter.

I love Fly London mols but already have a black pair. I think I'm too old to be rocking the work boot look, so, what should I be buying?

I just bought these for myself...I know they're not for everyone but I LOVE them and they're so comfortable.

Does anyone have a picture of what Fly London Mols look like on? I can't work out how tight fitting they would be, or how hight they would be.

I love the second pair and these - after a dark brown pair of boots; anyone got anymore suggestions?

Well helloooo moondog Smile

How the hell are you?

I know you like high on the heel; what sort of heel? Thin or thick? Wedge? Do you want knee/calf/ankle boots?

I have ordered these www.zalando.co.uk/classic-boots/?q=chire. I am hoping they are as good as they look, as this boot quest is knackering. I also love these www.botosvalverde.es/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=298.

I have loads of lovely boots but the ice here last year was so bad Sad

so if this year is the same i will be modelling an attractive combo of ariat grasmere boots and those anti slip chains (best buy ever!) Blush
All accessorised with slightly terrified bambi look on face

Oo I love the topshop ones. Wonder what the calf circ is.

So high boots over skinny jeans are still acceptable then?

I like some of the suggestions so thanks for the links.

Topshop boots usually quite narrow (much to my frustration).

Report
moondog · 30/08/2011 23:16

Thanks Tether, mate.
The ones I had were a bit like the Topshop pair but higher with skinnier heel and v cool elasic inserts all the way up. Perhaps I shouldn't have given them away...?

Like your links but a wee bit mumsy perhaps?

I have missed my Doc Martens Phoenix Jara boots so much over the summer so I have seized on the first bit of cool weather and had them on this week. I love them! They still look brand new this year too.

I can't do links on my phone. And to be fair, if you are after elegant they might not fit the bill. But did I say how much I LOVE them? Can you tell I've missed them!

Does anybody know where I can get decent boots with a smallish heel (not flats)? I used to live in high heels but now not practical with a young baby. Still, spent my pregnancy fantasising about autumn boots purchase and would seriously love something that isn't completely flat and sensible!

"Topshop boots usually quite narrow (much to my frustration)." HURRAY! :o This maybe the boots for me then. 65 quid cheaper than DUO ones. Do Topshop boots last well?

Do you want leather or suede, moondog?

Were your perfect boots these, BTW?

Am I the only person that looks like the pantomime prince in skinnies and heeled boots?
I love the look and try it and then can't leave the house because I expect someone to start yelling 'it's behind youuuuuuuu!

Am a boot lover... so enjoying the boot porn even if I can't afford any at the moment!

I have just bought some Frye Campus and I LOVE them so very much. Bloody expensive but without doubt the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.

moondog · 31/08/2011 05:30

Nearly Tether! (Damn you are good. The heels were higher and a bit thinner and they have squared off toes with cap detail.

Doc, have you checked out Fly boots? They have fantastic rubbery heels. The wedges are tres comfy.

I have just ordered these from Zalando.

I don't understand why Zalando isn't linked to more on S&B - they're fab. Loads of choice, free delivery and returns. Tis my new online shop of choice.
