higgle Tue 30-Aug-11 12:04:01

I thought exactly the same - can anyone help?

Elemental Tue 30-Aug-11 12:09:29

Oh yes, I was wondering that! Lovely dress.

kittyispretty Tue 30-Aug-11 12:40:05

she mentions that the dress was called 'beau' and that she had 2 copies lasting from january to july, but apart from that i am non the wiser cant even find a pic of her in it to link

noddyholder Tue 30-Aug-11 12:41:36

Hated the dress but fab show!

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 13:33:30

Are you sure it was 'beau' and not 'bow'?

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 13:35:29

Is it this one?

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 13:36:38

If so, I'm with noddy grin

LucyWorsley Tue 30-Aug-11 13:44:08

tethersend: Yep, you've got it. Beau from Hobbes, in cranberry.

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 13:52:31

Oh, this is awkward.

LucyWorsley Tue 30-Aug-11 13:54:06

Whoops, confusing my seventeenth-century philosophers and my chain stores. Meant Hobbs.

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 13:58:40

Is that the real Lucy?

'Real' inasmuch as we could all be hairy handed truckers called Dave, I mean wink

worldgonecrazy Tue 30-Aug-11 14:04:25

I disagree with tethersend even though she's normally a style goddess. I think it would be quite flattering for someone who is a particular shape, especially around the thighs, as it gives the illusion of an hourglass figure. I like the dress.

meltedchocolate Tue 30-Aug-11 14:21:07

but for anyone who is top heavy it would be a disaster!!

Elemental Tue 30-Aug-11 14:33:36

Ah, that would look dreadful on me, but it really, really suited Lucy. I also love her style - is that really you?

HallnotOates Tue 30-Aug-11 15:29:56

I loved your book. and the show.
and just carry on.. as you were

kittyispretty Tue 30-Aug-11 15:30:09

cripes, thanks soo much for finding it.I do feel honoured if that is the real Lucy.

Mumsnut Tue 30-Aug-11 15:31:19

If only it had no wool in it <grieves>

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 30-Aug-11 16:13:03

A bit off-topic but, is it just me or does Lucy dress a bit old for her age? She's the same age as me but seems to have fully embraced 40-50-year-old dressing ...

or possibly I should stop kidding myself and give up the skinny jeans and Converse

Mumsnut Tue 30-Aug-11 16:38:00

You should ask her, Lady C. She's about 7 posts above you.

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 16:50:18

Cheers for taking the heat off me though, LadyC grin

higgle Tue 30-Aug-11 16:51:26

Yes, it is the real Lucy - I emailed her publicist and she posted on here with the information - and emailed me back to confirm - how lovely.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 30-Aug-11 16:53:02

Yes, tethers, you owe me a pint I think. grin

tethersend Tue 30-Aug-11 17:10:31

Actually, I think we should probably both buy Lucy one wink
