I keep asking him what his friends wear but he just says he doesn't look at their feet! I bought him some slip on type last time but really wanted to know what other lads wear. Ds1 isn't bothered about his appearance and isn't getting picked on it's just me. Curious mama grin

What age is he? Both my Ds's (age 10 and almost 13) wear black nike trainers now, school "shoes" are a complete no no! Took me a few years to give in but I'm satisfied I forced them into Clarks shoes for as long as possible....

DS1 has got these.

There's plenty of choice in men's shoes, it's harder with DD because although she is a size 5, most women's shoes aren't supportive enough.

Christ! I guess that's normal enough if they do that puberty growth spurt early

Jones Bootmaker?

I think I have a big-footer. He's not 4 yet but a size 12 (infantish 12, so about to go up to a size 1 "child" which is quite "advanced" wink for a preschooler I'm told) hmm grin

My 2 wear these With their trousers coming over the tops of them they actually look nice, they are very trendy, our school is very strict regarding uniform, they must wear blazer at all times etc, but these all black trainers are perfectly acceptable to them. They know most boys this age wouldnt want to be seen in gents loafers.

Tatty, you're at it already!

Check school rules on school choice before buying.

Start-rite do a brand called Rhino which are good shoes that aren't too childish up to about a size 10.

Trainers or anything resembling trainers not allowed here. Boys tend to wear slip on type shoes from Clarks/Next/m&S mens dept. Ime sheap shoes just aren't up to the job.
