Stylish waterproof boots for when it snows...

Depressing thought as we're only in August but last winter I really got cought out with the snow, very cold feet, slippery shoes and all snow boots out of stock in the shops. I thought I might try to get them early this year...

I don't want anything technical, just a pair of pretty boots that go with my usual outfits, keep my feet warm and dry and prevent me from falling.

I am quite short so I was hoping a bit of a chunky heel would be good, but this last requirement seems impossible to meet. I have seen these boots which I like but they look so flat... do you think I might be able to get a higher heel or should I just go for these and perhaps add some inner heel soles?

i was after a pair of snow boots last year but found alot of reviews about how they are not waterproof so no good when the snow turns to sludge. I ended up getting wellies and some thick heat holder socks i also wear normal socks underneath.

Hi ChinaInYourHand. Love the name!
I too am looking for something for the Winter. Like you was a bit caught out last year. Especially at sidelines of footie/rugby matches and practice on weekend mornings with the boys.
I have my eye on these. Not glamerous but a reasonable price.
No reviews yet,but there is a garden centre near me that stocks Crocs,so will try them on up there when they are in.
Those Merrill ones are lovely too. But eek at the price! I want some day Winter boots too and some Uggs so don't want to spend too much on these ones.

I have the Prevoz, and they are so warm, comfy and waterproof - totally fabulous. Quality is fab, so I don't object to the price

The Crocs ones run tight across be top of the foot where it meets the material and they are small in the foot too. They don't have great traction when it's icy and they are not very warm. However they are waterproof. Personally I didn't like the quilting around the ankles as it gives you the look of having massive cankles!

Thank you all for your replies. CMOTdibbler, how high is the heel?

I have these in brown, got them last year and they're super toasty and great in snow (they're suede so needed spraying first).

I've been thinking about waterproof boots for winter too and am liking the look of those Prevoz ones.

But check em out here - some sizes seem to be much cheaper!

It doesn't make much sense though, different sizes and colours. Maybe it's a mistake or perhaps they are old stock?

How about Lands End, they usually have some nice boots in but having had a look at the website, they don't have their winter stock in yet.

I'm thinking of winter too, boots and the eternal search for a nice warm down coat!

I love those Prevoz ones, my feet froze last year, I am so so tempted......

jennylindinha, it's not a mistake, and most puzzling of all is that I believe Amazon and Javari are the same company.
