My lovely DH bought me a lovely leather orla kiely bag at the start of summer about 4 mths ago it was nearly £400. After 2 months the handles were splitting so I took it back to our local independent department store where he purchased it and they swapped it. The same thing has happened to this one two months on...what are my rights as they no longer have this bag and anyway I wouldn't want another what is clearly faulty bag....can DH get his money back. I have mulberry bags that are ten years old and still look great...

Take it back and ask for a refund, explain it is your 2nd bag and the same thing has happened twice. If you have the receipt great, if not a credit card or bank statement showing the debit will be just as good as proof of purchase.

You take it back and complain and get a refund. Do not be fobbed off with a an exchange or credit note if you don't want one.

or, you could contact Orla Kiely direct who may replace it for you..

Thanks ladies.

They refunded no question apparently they have seen it with a few of these bags, the autumn version has extra stitching on the handles.

So now I have £400 to spend on a bag, am tempted to by Lucia in tan and something else..

Can I ask is tan Lucia grainy texture or smooth?

I have the Lucia in camel, which has a really gorgeous grainy texture. I've heard on here the tan has a smooth appearance. The Navy & Black look grainy on the pics.

tbh, I'm loving my camel SO much, was tempted with tan, but the camel goes with everything in my wardrobe....

with your budget I would look at Anya Hindmarch or LK bennet

I think I'd go to a Mulberry outlet store and see what they had to offer. But then, I do LOVE a bit of Mully.

I wish I had £400 to go towards a Mulberry. I really fancy the Mulberry Tillie Tote. Wonder how much it costs at one of the Factory shops?
