New Wrap Collection - Lovely things or Emperors New Clothes?

Ladies of S&B, would you mind giving me your opinions on the following things I've got my eye on from the AW Wrap collection...? Am SAHM wanting to be stylish and attempting to go for quality over quantity. Are these nice, or am I just deluded in an Emperor's new clothes kind of way?! Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Biker style cardi in blue

Frill hem top for layering in white under above cardi

Lace trim top for casual drinks in pub type occasion

Slouchy jumper in blue

Another slouchy but slightly sparkly jumper prob in vintage rose

I think their stuff is gorgeous, everything you linked to is lovely and seems really wearable and versatile.

I've never bought anything off them (yet) and would be interested to hear how good the quality is.

I've just bought a few things from the new collection, wearing one of them right now! Great quality, I've got stuff from a year ago that looks good still. I love the frill hem top, will be ordering one myself. There was another thread a few weeks ago and several people keen on the slouchy Mira jumper. I've ordered a May cardi but its delayed until Sept. They did send me free postage for next order tho, which was nice.

Like all your links
I do think their stuff is too £££ though.
But if you love something and will get a lot of wear out of it then I think worth it.
The woolen jumper strangely is long on one model and not the other.

I've ordered the Faith, in silver and jade (not intending to keep both!). They are supposed to be on way - will report back when received.

As noted on another current thread, they are pricy if non-sale, so will have to really like it and feel it looks really good on me to keep it at all.

How odd- 2 posts on Wrap at the same time!

I was shocked at the prices- they really didn't used to be that expensive.

anyone got a code? I love the velvet tunic- but it's £169.

I know, it's spooky amelia! And I wrote the title with Emperor's new clothes bit in before I'd seen the other thread which used the same phrase! Confused Grin.
Have now ordered a few bits with the intention of only keeping things that I LOVE, as it is v expensive. No codes that I know of Sad.

Have you had a look at their sale items -I reckon you could use a couple of bits from there through the autumn/early winter - and are MUCH cheaper.

I bought a couple of trousers from their SS collection and was really disappointed - they were really oddly cut and the fabric was horrible so I returned them. They took weeks to arrive, too.

Given how expensive everything is, I don't think I'd try Wrap again.

I haven't had much luck with their trousers - but I reckon it was the shape of me they didn't suit. I've had much better luck with their tops.

My Faith jumper has arrived:

www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W511-SMWKW/knitwear/faith-sweater.htm

Ordered it in jade and silver and think I'm going to keep the jade, which is a lovely subtle smoky colour. The lighter silver isn't so flattering on my tall and large frame.

Do really like this very much. It has pretty, but again subtle, details, eg at the neck, is beautifully light, and I think it will be good for a wide variety of 'smart casual' occasions, from day out with girlfriends to informal Christmas drinks. Even DH likes. Agree Wrap is just that bit different from Boden.

Having said all that, I do think it's pricy - my excuse is I don't think I'd easily find anything similar, particularly as I need a large size. That also means there are less likely to be the styles and colours I want when the sale eventually comes.

PS Do fancy this too, in slate - but it's really pricy, and might look tent-like on a big bust, I guess:

I think you are right Poly - that will look a bit tent like - it would defo on me! I got this www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W444/cape-style-jersey-kaftan.htm in a 14 in blue and mulberry. It is soooooo flattering on - I am a top end 16 with matronly boobs.
I got a dusky blue and dusky rose coloured vest 2 pack from M&S for layering - they are long in the body and soo soft - will try for a linky.

I like the first cardi, the others are ok but very expensive! I couldn't justify spending £49 on a t-shirt. For that price I would want and expect a fab dress.

I think if you shopped around you could get the same for less, but if you can afford it and like them then go for it!

Maybe not strictly relevant but always found customer service to be really good - once had a return that went missing and they were so helpful.

If thinking of ordering for the first time, I'd size down. Even as a pear shape I've found their trousers and shorts huge.
