Need help restyling hair

Had a (very) disastrous hair cut last dec trying to achieve the frankie sandford look...it was soooo short, only beginning to get a shine back now but trouble is it's now longer on one side than the other...any ideas where to go with it? I'll post the original look I was going for and a possible look I could achieve..appreciate any input

Original cut i was trying to achieve....it's only slightly longer than this tho 9months later!
