Is it me or are pointy toed heels back in this winter?

How do my fashion focussed ladies feel about it? Is it a good thing? I bought these t'other day and they are yummy but they are pointy toed, have i made a faux pas?

black suede

Well, they are pointy yet rather elegant...

I've seen a lot of pointys in magazines so I guess they may be back. Hope so - I've got loads of them.

Belle.

Thanks - not just me then, I have a few as well - but worry that all my stylish almond toe and round toe heels are desperately old fashioned now.

Ah but they'll be back!

I'm awaiting the return of the square toe just for one particular, treasured pair of slingbacks.

Oooh the square toe? where did that go? I have none of these - but havent seen them for ages.....i would wear them anyway

That's what I thought until I got them out... I think I'll wait Grin, it's not like I have a shortage of black slingbacks.

I've got some great pointys too! One pair in particular are perfect for work. Fingers crossed that we're right.

Well, if they are, I won't be wearing them, they're vile! Love my round toed shoes Grin

I lurve pointy toe shoes.
I have huge feet and round toed anythings look like small barges so I refuse to buy them - hideous things!
I can buy square toes IF they look like they were going to be pointy but then the point was cut off; but the big clompy square toes also look like barges (or aircraft carriers) and are equally a no-no.

Thanks WNS. They are rather yummy - i hadnt seen any like this for ages and then a load come along so I thought, they must be coming back! Most of my wardrobe consists of round toes at the moment but i have plenty of pointy lurking at the back

They are old vintage Chanel (oooh, get me) and are mostly black fabric with a metallic (bronze-ish) toe and strap (more slingbacks). They have a tiny pearl detail with minuscule interlinked 'C' logo on (you'd need a magnifying glass to see it) and have a kitten heel. They sound ghastly but they just work. They were bought in wealthier times Wink ie before the child!

And, your DH must surely know you can never have enough suede.

Thumb? What is huge? I take a 7 and agree that very round toes look like barges. But some are nice - they do need a heel tho!

Bullet - whats wrong with both ;-)

7 1/2 - 8 depending on style. I can't wear high heels - no more than 3" or I fall over - and can't wear stilettoes at all, I need the heels to have some width, even if it's only 3/4". I have pathetic ankles :(

Thumb - i feel for you! I lurve my heels but they wreck my ankles! HAving said that some nice chunky heels in the shops at the moment - Dune have a load that are lovely

A few years ago I bought a pair of Marco Tozzi boots that are like these but without the zip and embellishments - the heels are brilliant because they are wide enough not to wobble but look thin from the side. (Mine only cost £29, mind you Wink). I lurve them but can't walk far in them Blush

Points are back and kittens are in too. Or so says Grazia Smile

I'm so happy about this - I love points. It's been really hard to find them in the last few years.

Topshop have some lovely pointed suede flats at the moment - I'm going to stock up!

voiceof, completely agree re kitten heels. They are an abomination. And I find it harder to walk in them than real hills. Bizarre that I even wanted them, let alone still love them.
