skirt. Am not usually a skirt person but this is gorgeous on! Got it in the pale tan colour and if Imkeepmit will need a top but it's lovely with brown wool tights and long boots. However, that's my opinion but is it nice or naff in the yes of Mumsnet?

Also, www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Trousers-Jeans/Jeans/WC090/Womens-Straightleg-Jeans.html?NavGroupID=19 Straight legged jeans in Indigo. Am amazed, truly flabbergasted at what a good shape these are on (even restraining my tummy!) and need to change for long length if I keep them. Question is, what would I put with them in terms of footwear and top. They're quite a purple-blue. Boden have styled them with grey boots but I don't have and don't want to buy grey boots! Any suggestions please?

Thanks!

Skirt is grim but jeans are ok. Brown boots?

Skirt - I'm a hardened Boden fan but I'd only buy it in Mocha, not keen on the pale colour from the photo but maybe it's better in person?
Jeans - I think I'm currently wearing these jeans (or at least the summer collection equivalent). I wear them with ballet pumps (silver, dark pink) and with dark brown boots. Much, much prefer their straightleg jeans to bootlegs / wideleg / skinny ...

Uh oh ... is the skirt really that bad? I like it as the shape really suits me, it is surprisingly nice irl but I will have a look at the Mocha - maybe it wouldn't be quite so grim. Does anyone like it [desperate emoticon]? Grin

Sorry but I hate the skirt- you might like the cord skirt with ruffle hem as an alternative. I sent it back as it was an odd fit on me though!
I'm afraid re. your skirt, I hate the length- I like just above the knee rather than this droopy below knee style.

trousers are okay but they are over priced- Uniqlo do the same thing for half that price or less. My nicest jeans cost £14.99 from them!

Oh, I didn't even notice the length - have a feeling it sits just above my knee cos like you I don't like anything just below the knee. Shall have to double check.

It also looks a bit too "swishy" for my liking- very full- but whatever floats your boat Smile

If the jeans are good on, keep them- a ggod fit is rare and worth it.

I can imagine the skirt could look lovely! You sound so convinced by it, trust your judgment.

I like the skirt, I have a similar shaped Monsoon one in a darker brown.

I have Boden skinny jeans, which are a bit tighter than the straight leg, and wear them with flat brown knee high boots.

Thanks all .... the skirt is going back! Actually so are the jeans but only to exchange for the denim version!

Ive never had a problem with their jeans but, as with everything from Boden, they are overpriced. I hate that mustard colour, who would wear them?

The skirt is not for me but, if you like it, you shouldnt care what people think. Im so over Boden, I shouldnt even look at these threads!

Lol! They have got really expensive. Picked up some nice bits for T
DTs though along with a couple of tops and jumper for myself ... oh, maybe a scarf too. Tried the skirt on when Mum was here for a second opinion ... 'cheap looking' was her verdict!

I hope you got a good discount. They arent as generous as they used to be.

Me too, so over Boden, jeans are ok, skirt I really don't like at all, overpriced and cheap looking.
If you like it, go for it.Smile

I like that skirt actually! Its not a good length for me, but I like it in the abstract.

Have you tried the fun skirt? I have that in black (plan on wearing it with a grey wool jumper) and the stone type colour (plan on wearing that with a blue jersey top), both tops from Boden.

This is the first year I have bought anything for myself (having bought loads for DS) from Boden, and I'm pleased with my purchases.
