I haven't seen a thread yet, so I thought I'd start one.

So far I like:
Long Applique Cardigan
Weekender Tunic
Uplifting Cardi Coat
Boiled Wool Coat
But am a bit eeek! at the prices, even with the 20% off.

I haven't got my order from the autumn preview yet! (casual dress)

moragbellingham Wed 10-Aug-11 15:57:51

I'll be passing on the winter wear at those prices!

northernruth Wed 10-Aug-11 16:00:26

What's the discount code anyone?

Bandwithering Wed 10-Aug-11 16:02:58

rq01 gives 15% off on the current stuff. want to buy some of the kids stuff but even with 15% off i'm hesitating.

northernruth Wed 10-Aug-11 16:13:47

Ignore my Q, must have been a glitch as the discount is coming up automatically now.

I want one of those kids duffle coats but OH MY WORD £65!!!!

RQ12 also works for 15% plus free delivery and returns

encyclogirl Wed 10-Aug-11 16:14:30

Love the Winter tunic, but I'm not fecking paying that much for it!

applecrumbleandcream Wed 10-Aug-11 16:15:02

Just received a catalogue to see what all the fuss is about, but not very impressed at the clothes at those prices.

Lovely mini Boden clothes though, but still with the code it's way beyond my price range.

MrsCampbellBlack Wed 10-Aug-11 16:21:59

oh this is nice

MrsCampbellBlack Wed 10-Aug-11 16:26:21

Oh and the code is prv4 for 20% off preview

HilaryDevey Wed 10-Aug-11 17:03:20

I love this ruffle dress

KaySirah Wed 10-Aug-11 17:28:19

christ , boden, bringing glittery knitwear to life

ameliagrey Wed 10-Aug-11 17:32:20

OMG already? anyway- glad it's there as I didn't keep anything much from the autumn one. will dash over to have a look.

ameliagrey Wed 10-Aug-11 17:34:27

In case anyone cares, I have the Boiled Wool coat from 2 years back but it is 3/4 length. This is great with trousers- as I am petite- but it's a tiny bit short for leggings/tunics or short skirts.

However, what I really wanted to say is that is is as warm as toast and wears really well.

On that basis I'd recommend it and am tempted to get a full length one.

KaySirah Wed 10-Aug-11 17:35:08

hahaha at this

wtf is this

KaySirah Wed 10-Aug-11 17:35:45

hmm re boiled coat

ThatVikRinA22 Wed 10-Aug-11 17:50:44

i love some of the stuff on there.....might just save up, nearly paid next account off and looks so much nicer!

is it worth it boden fans?

Sandgroper Wed 10-Aug-11 18:38:11

OMG - the lounge shoes look like Grandad's slippers, Boden have lost the plot!

Bandwithering Wed 10-Aug-11 18:42:17

why is it good that an item of clothing is made from boiled wool? does that mean it definitely won't shrink when you wash it because they boiled the wool before they knitted the item?? confused

FoundWanting Wed 10-Aug-11 18:58:35

I thought it was that stiff fabric that takes a lot of wearing in, Bandwithering.

Like old school blazers.

noddyholder Wed 10-Aug-11 18:59:55

Lounge shoes ha ha

ameliagrey Wed 10-Aug-11 19:41:01

shoes Actually, ladies...

Dune has those shoes out just now in black and leopard pony skin. The have a slightly neater line than Boden's but otherwise are pretty much the same- I'd wear with trousers as an alternative to ballet pumps, but then I am middle aged.

Agree that all the rpices are £££ and can't decide if the tunics are really dresses- one is 35 inches which on me is deffo a dress length.

ameliagrey Wed 10-Aug-11 19:42:03

Band boiled wool is just the name for the type of fabric, which i am sure you know- like tweed, or lace.

It's very thick.

catsareevil Wed 10-Aug-11 19:59:43

Boiled wool It doesnt mention not shrinking on that page, but logically if it has already been boiled it probably cant shrink more.

Where are the kids duffle coats? I cant find them on the preview site.
