Need new furniture

My husband has been posted to London. Since he got promoted & now has a very nice post we are now discarding all the old stuff.
Can anyone please suggest a nice place to get furniture? I have never shopped online for furniture & have no time to shop on the highstreet as well. Jst some nice dinning set, bed room, bathroom fittings suggestion would be really a great help.
P.S -is shopping for furniture online a good idea?
