Is a black linen dress with white (at the bottom) flower type stitching appropriate for a job interview

I have not actually got an interview yet but am thinking positive vibes & looking for something whilst I wait.So is it ok to wear this these days as I don't think a suit is the right thing for this job,would pair with a pair of grey heels (really comfy) so I don't look too formal & possibly if necessary a cardi.

So in the world of work these days (as I am getting the feeling suits are out & smart casual is in) am I on the right track

Please help as if interview is forthcoming this is my dream job that I have been looking for for years

Depends entirely on what the job is.

Sales assistant/call centre fine.

MD of mulit-national no.
