Have noticed an increase suddenly of 'sunspots' on my face, what can I do to get rid of them???

have seen Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector, has anyone tried it?? Does it work???

You need something with vitamin C in it and to use it daily. They will fade but will take min 2-3 mths. You then need to stay out of the sun and wear SPF30+.

I do generally stay out of the sun, I hate sitting in it and always use at least factor 40 cause anything less and I burn... Discovered Clinique city block last year which I love for my face, not so easy finding something that's not greasy or white for the body!

Afaik dermalogica, decleor both do a whitening range for sun damage.

I use a spray on sunscreen for everyday use on my body, one of the non greasy/White ones.

Don't forget sun damage begins right from when we are little. My nan used to put tanning oil on me not the factor 15 mum sent me there with. Thank god she never took me to Spain.

Yes I did mean vit C in a cream or serum. There are a few about and many of the big brands use vit C in their anti age products. If you are really concerned, I'd go for a serum as they are more concentrated in active ingredients and you'll therefore get better results.

I like to use natural products hence the Origins and This Works recommendations.

I know a few people who have tried the Boots age spot pen, graeat idea as you can target the sun spot but not sure how effective as ascorbic acid (vit C) is the second to last ingredient.

If you have age spots on your chest (that's where Iam noticing them as I'm fanatical about protecting my face and sometimes not so much with my chest if I'm wearing a v neck top). You can use the same product that you use on your face or something like This Works Perfect Cleavage.

Please remember vitamin C is also an anti oxidant and helps to sort out the crap in your skin. You may find you have a bit of a break out when you first start using a product like this, a bit like when you've had a facial.

Glad you stay out of the sun now, fluffycloud is right, a lot of the damage is done when you're a child and then we suffer later in life! If you stay out of the sun now, you should be able to get the age spots under control. City block is a great product.

Dermalogica do a multi vitamin SPF for the body and I think we will see more brands developing products like this over the next couple of years.

I'm not going to waste my money on any topical products now - am 45 and pretty much get loads of sun spots each summer. Am waiting till October and then getting a course of IPL - which will also sort out my thread veins on my cheeks.

I think retinol is good for sloughing off top layers of skin - along with the sun spots - but not if you have sensitive skin. And that Clinique spot remover has too little of any active ingredients to make much difference.

Darphin does look wonderful but I think Origins is more my budget sadly... (Although shall have to wait til payday!)
