Am loving extra long cardi but surprisingly not that price!

Is it a little early to have spotted similar (& cheaper) in the shops or just wishful thinking - thoroughly bored of the all the Sales now!!

They have really nice stuff this autumn. Do they ever do discount codes, I wonder?

Report
aquavit · 29/07/2011 14:03

I've never known a discount code, but they do have good sales and most things in most sizes go into them at some point.

I think the autumn collection is awful!! Loads of sludge coloured clothes that even the models don't look good in!! Was really disappointed and I normally like their stuff (although can't actually afford it!!)

I have ear marked a lot of stuff from their new range. But they still seem to have loads of S/S 11 not reduced - although if you want to look at it - it is under the Sale button. I'm hoping for big reductions soon - I check every day! I got the kaftan top at full price - but I love it and would like some more of them at maybe half price??

you'd need to be tall to pull off that cardi

I wish they'd do less scoop necks , selfishly because I do not suit them ,have narrow shoulders and big boobs and look better in boat neck or loose crew neck.
Have a fab leopard print tunic from s/s I got in the sale ages ago, wish they'd bring that back, have worn it to death.

I like the scoop necks - they suit my large bust!

Like several things in new catalogue, including this, in black or jade:

www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W511-SMWKW-SMWKW2/sweaters/faith-sweater.htm

Not keen on the hand-washing, though. Wonder if you could get away with delicate cycle??

At the least, going to order this vest in dark blue:

catalogue arrived today - some items looked even better than online.

"TracyK" i'm waiting for the navy/white stripey maxi dress to go in the sale!
however, i spoke to a lady there this week who said that if it was reduced within a month of me buying it then they'd refund the reduction!!!

Here are my picks:

The Meera sweater in russet red. I love that colour and the patch details.

The Svana cardigan in green. This would be great for the coldest days of winter; I like the pattern - it's not too fussy.

These peter pan collar blouses - they are so pretty and I could wear them both at home and for work.

This leather jacket in either colour. I'm not really a leather jacket person but this one looks really flattering.

I will probably buy the first two items later on in the year, might wait for the sales for the rest.

in green - in cream is what I meant!

Think I may go for Faith sweater - but jade or black - views, please!

PS That Mira one is lovely too. But think the Faith would suit my tall, large, hourglass shape better.

Report
FrancesFarmer · 30/07/2011 00:29

Hmm, I prefer the black Faith as there is more contrast between the black and the silver.

Report
ggirl · 30/07/2011 00:39

prefer the jade cos i love that colour
black nery nice as well and could be dressed up for evening

Am loving these - www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W609-SMWAC/accessories/anouska-arm-warmers.htm

I prefer the green or silver Faith - tho would maybe like to see the black - but think its a bit ££££ for just a black jumper. They do free returns so I'd order all three after my CC cut off date so I could see and return quickly.

Love the leather jacket but have seen equivalent (prob rubbish leather tho) on ebay and the like - so wouldn't pay that much for a leather jacket.

Like these -www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W530-SMWTR/trousersjeans/jess-trousers.htm so don't know whether to return my unworn harem pants from them S/S and get these instead. Am undecided bout my harem pants. Like but don't love them. Make me look trendy but not slim iykwim.

Ach bollocks, I wish I hadn't clicked! There are a few things I like

jayne tunic

besty

Do you think you would need to be ultra slim for the jayne tunic?

How do their sizes come up?

Report
TracyK · 30/07/2011 09:17

Those 2 tops would be v generous I would say.
I got www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W444/cape-style-jersey-kaftan.htm in a 16 - I'm a top end 16 - and I think I could've done with a 14.
You get free returns - so I'd order them and try them. as you can't really tell if they will suit or not.
I had high hopes for www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W337/klara-tunic.htm and it makes me look too busty and not very flattering.

Report
TracyK · 30/07/2011 09:18

Oh and I got 16 harems and they fit perfectly, not too tight or too loose in the waist.

KristinaM · 30/07/2011 09:28

I think Wrap sizes are big

Love that jersey kaftan too TracyK

The blue kaftan is a beautiful colour and very flattering on - please god let them have a sale on it soon!

I'm in the middle of ordering (although I really shouldn't), several of my tops & a cardigan have just fallen to bits so I need quality replacements. Some of the colours are a bit too sludgy for me, but still plenty of things I like.
What do you think of this cardigan for huge bust? Have never spent so much on a piece of clothing but love the look of it in blue black. I wear cardigans constantly, I just get too hot for jumpers and feel more self-conscious with them.

Report
gregssausageroll · 30/07/2011 20:26

I think you'd be ok. As someone said above, it is free returns so I intend on ordering a few things (sods law I will like them all!).

I think if you get it oversized (ish) aq - and leave it open like the model - it will be flattering on a big bust. Loving the deep ribs on the sleeves.
I think the image of the antique rose and the blue may be misleading - if they are the same colours as the items I have bought (they have the same colour description) - then the computer doesn't do them justice at all.

Report
accessorizequeen · 30/07/2011 22:02

Thanks both, have done a big order although I usually send back half. I do think the sizing is huge so ordered usual size but it won't be here until sept! Sigh. It irritates me that half their stock is unavailable much of the time. At least boden give you a discount! The colours often turn out quite different esp the blue/grey ones but in a good way.

YY to cardis rather than jumpers for big boobs
