How important is it for Fit Flops to fit closely to your feet?

Have found these nice sparkly ones in the sale but they don't fit as closely/as well as these in metalic bronze that look much plainer. Does it matter when you are walking if they don't fit closely?

The thing is that after a while the footbeds get trodden down slightly so they end up looser and when they start to get too loose you'll end up gripping with your toes.

I always buy them so that they fit snugly which usually means trying on several different pairs.

Thank you. Guess I should stick with the boring ones then!

my friend had to size up when she went for the more fancier fit flops.. plain ones iir she was a 5 yet for a fancier version she was a 6..

However plain black ones im a 4 and recently bought Swarovski ones and still needed to 4... no idea why they vary in size between designs..Hmm

I've got both styles and found Electra the snugger fit(might be becasue the footbed has given a bit on the others though). Was coveting these but would have had to go up a size and they were too loose :( Now I've seen all those bargains reductions, I want more ...

If you have wide feet then you need to size up. Agree they all seem to fit slightly differently, although I'm a 5 in all of mine (I have many many pairs:) - although do please tell me where the big reductions are!!!!!!

I'm lying! I have the slide on ones which are not a good fit, they are on the small side - so I don't tend to wear them much.

I have just tried some cloggs fit flops for work. Normally size 6 and have had to order an 8!!! Is this normal? Weird sizing?

Have now worn the boring ones outside so I can't change my mind!

Chickenlickin - are you sure that you are not confusing US and UK sizing? If you use the Fit Flop foot measure chart they have on their website, it has both UK and US and it is quite easy to misread it.
