You can get boots taken in by a good cobbler.

no. I buy all mine at Duo. don't you like any of them?

I have one of their riding boot styles with buckles on the top of the calf, another suede pair with a kitten heel which I adore but are only for dress, and another pair that are flat and simple with a pointy toe for wearing skinny jeans tucked in.

I thought I would have to go to Duo but found that Office, some LK Bennett and some Jones the Bootmaker boots are very good. I've not been able to buy from anywhere else.
There was a thread eons ago that I'll try to find.

Belstaff and most high-end boots are pretty skinny in the calf.

And I agree re. duo - would it kill them to do something ever so slightly fashionable.

Oh also look in Russel and Bromley.

Watching this thread cos my legs look like ridiculous pencils coming out of normal boots. Don't have much money though so would be a stretch to get some out of ugly Duo
