I'm not sure if I am being swayed by the massive reduction...

Personally I don't like it, but I suspect these will be fashionable for a while since Rihanna was pictured wearing one.

DamselInDisarray Wed 20-Jul-11 12:27:07

It looks pretty drab and shapeless on the model.

missorinoco Wed 20-Jul-11 12:28:55

No, but it would depend on your shape. I would look like I was wearing a bin bag tied with string in it, but I don't go in and out at the right places. (Front to back curves rather than at the sides!)

LawrieMarlow Wed 20-Jul-11 12:28:58

I don't like it much.

faustina Wed 20-Jul-11 12:30:57

not sure about the pockets if you were anything other than very flat chested

Beamur Wed 20-Jul-11 12:32:57

I would look like I was wearing a sack. But I can imagine if you are slim and chic this could look quite stylish with the right outfit.

TracyK Wed 20-Jul-11 12:42:27

There must be a reason why its only £18!!!

Bearcrumble Wed 20-Jul-11 12:56:09

yes, TracyK good point. Thanks all. I don't think I'll bother.

Bearcrumble Wed 20-Jul-11 12:57:20

What about this skirt? www.toast.co.uk/product/women+up+to+80/C3AD5/Coloured+Denim+Pencil+Skirt.htm?categoryref=%2fcategory.aspx%3fcategoryid%3dwomen%2520up%2520to%252080%26seoterm%3dup%2520to%252080%2520off%26pageno%3d2%26&pcat=women+up+to+80&adimage=

Good decision - it looks very drab and shapless

Am I the only person who thinks that Toast clothes are the opposite of sex? An anti-aphrodisiac? Not that I want to look like Jordan, but I don't want to look self-consciously and actively (and expensively) dull either.

faustina Wed 20-Jul-11 13:24:44

some of their things are awful, but some are really nice once you actually put them on - I bought a jacket a couple of weeks ago and it's wonderful - great colour, hangs beautifully, fantastic swingy cut. Not exactly sexy, but not dull either!

LemonDifficult Wed 20-Jul-11 13:29:34

Just seen the skirt, Bear, and I think it looks good. Quite fancy it myself...

Bearcrumble Wed 20-Jul-11 13:45:37

It looks useful, doesn't it? I think I prefer the blue one.

Bearcrumble Wed 20-Jul-11 13:49:52

I've just ordered it...

LemonDifficult Wed 20-Jul-11 13:51:05

yeah blue def. let us know if it looks good when it arrives

archanat10 Wed 20-Jul-11 14:00:48

i like the skirt & thank god u dropped the idea about buying that shirt dress smile

higgle Wed 20-Jul-11 15:29:07

I want the Laika dress, but it is hardly reduced at all.

levantine Wed 20-Jul-11 16:31:20

Ooh which jacket did you get Faustina?

faustina Wed 20-Jul-11 17:02:41

Jacket

it's my Barbour replacement - and a million times nicer - machine washable too. looks much much better on

AnnThology Wed 20-Jul-11 17:05:53

prison chic?

noddyholder Wed 20-Jul-11 17:09:48

I think the shirt dress could look good open with a vest and a big belt over skinnies and boots. The quality of toast stuff is good

Bearcrumble Wed 20-Jul-11 19:43:08

Will do, Lemon.

Am going to a black tie event on saturday and was wondering if I could wear any of these which I have already.
