A friend of mine is 30 next week. She's had a crap year which has included divorce, 2 house moves & redundancy. I want to get her something special for her birthday but have no idea what.

She gets tanned every week / has her eyelashes, nails etc done so I don't want to get anything spa like. Clothes are out. She wears gold jewellery.

Any great ideas?

TIA

Have a look at www.notonthehighstreet.com/home-garden
They may have something that works for you? Look at the picture section, they do silhouette pics from a favourite pic of pet/child/etc, might be fun?

I have a whole year of these birthdays Grin

for the most recent one, I got jewellery for her from notonthehighstreet. They have quite a big selection for all budgets (they're not paying me to advertise, promise)

What's your budget? Does she have DCs? If so, you could promise to arrange babysitting and take her out for a night of fun?

I recently turned 30 and the best gifts I got where some georgeous pearl earings, a bottle of wine from 1981 in a lovely gift box, a driving experience, a cooking course, colour & style consultation (that one was probably the best).

Things I always like to receive as gifts are:-
lovely big bouquet of flowers
champagne - good stuff
perfume

I also really like accessories so a really nice silk scalf would be very appreciated or some nice costume jewellery.

Shoes? High heals can make a girl feel a million dollers, so can a really nice set of undies.

Hey, just reading your message while i was shopping for lingerie at debenhams sale 10%. So, why dont u get her some really sexy lingerie, make her feel young. And could couple it up with some nice chunky earrings or neck piece?
