hold in pants help - need to lose 1/2 inch for BM dress

hi, just been to try on my BM dress for best friends wedding in December and I need to lose 1/2 inch from my hip area otherwise the boning sits funny.

I will try to lose weight but I would like to get a good pair of holdin pants for before i try it on next (in about a month) to see if that makes it better. Can anyone recommend a pair which ACTUALLY work????!
