Autumn

I'm starting to think about Autumn because summer clothes in the UK bore me and we're not going abroad this year. Besides, Autumn is my favourite season!

So, I fancy:

a grey biker jacket;
some really comfortable grey or tan wedges;
a grey silk top (not traditional blouse style: a nod to vintage would be good eg Peter Pan collar or tiny cut out details or something);
a fantastic pair of grey trousers for a short arse.

Anybody fancy inspiring me? :)

Have you seen this link?

Looks quite good if they can make it happen! I'm so sick of feeling depressed in changing rooms!

I know it's too early but I still want them! How about if I promise to wear them in the summer too?

I'm not thinking about autumn clothes until at least October. September is usually really nice weather.

Chinti & Parker grey blouse with Peter Pan collar -- although in cotton.

Or Stella McCartney silk blouse on sale, but in a print not a solid and only in 42.

Yeah, I thought it was more a "stone" than a "mink," but I'm not a web page copywriter so what would I know? Grin

Boden have a grey/pewter leather biker jacket in the sale

And a lovely grey blouse

And really nice grey jeans (which I've just added to my basket for £22)

No to both of those blouses - they are too severely cut and mannish for my hourglass shape. Thanks though.

The Boden jacket has the wrong shaped neckline for what I'm after - I want a proper biker shape like the MV one.

Looking for the blouse now! Thank you.

Okay -- so are you going for sort of a gamine retro biker chick type thing? Just trying to picture these pieces together / an overall look. (Am bored of my own style crisis.)

Something like that! I love silk with wool, leather, denim or suede.

I can't find anything that I like on the Boden site, I'm afraid.

The Topshop one is polyester, so no good. I probably need a lower neck too. You're deffo on the right sort of lines though!

That blouse is v pretty, Laurie - other than the stupid nork-enhancing pockets.

Is there any chance you want the worlds most beautiful cardigan in grey? I am waiting for it to get cheaper in the sale as it's madly expensive.

the loveliest cardigan

I loooove grey.

Hm!

the problem with Boden is that if you are not the "perky details" type you have to rule most of it out.

Another Topshop blue but possibly the right feel? (At least viscose breathes.)
