I want a bikini - not a top or a bottom - I want both

am I just greedy?

Is it not an either or either option then? No wonder I've been getting funny looks at the swimming pool Grin

About time too! I am a different size top to bottoms, and it was a pain trying to find a bikini before. Now it's just a pain to find a pair that will make my stretchmarks and 10lbs disappear off me Grin

Because some women, like me, need different sizes on top and bottom. I can't buy ones that come as a set as they don't fit.

Perhaps because people can be different sizes bottom and top? I am a size bigger on the bottom, so if I could get away with it I'd swap sizes on the hanger when noone was looking in the shop if they were being sold together! Grin

Because I have a fat arse and small tits.

I have a fat (ish) arse and big tits and sets don't fit me either. I like bikini tops which come as bra sizes.

I bought separates when I was pregnant. Boobs grew, hips didn't.

Small (compared to the rest of me) bum and ridiculously huge norks here. have to get 16 bottom and 22 on top for the cup or a proper cup sized one if on offer.

It is bloody brilliant that some shops sell them separately.

I especially love it when they do different styles of tops and different bottoms all in the same fabric.
Fantastic

Makes perfect sense, I know I bought a bikini once. The top fitted perfectly, the bottom fell off me. Was not ideal Hmm

Wish I could have bought them as seperates!

They were clever. Also you can mix and match, for example I may like a set but wouldn't want a panty version but a shorts verion

It means I can wear a bikini that fits my 30g boobs and my size 12 hips. What's not to like?

Not a moron, but perhaps a balanced-figured woman with no empathy with those whose tops and bottoms may not be the same size.

Aside from the fact you can get the best fit for your body, you can buy additional bottoms or mix and match colours and styles - brilliant!

What an odd question. Could you really not imagine the answer was that more women than not are pear shaped and not hourglass or straight up and down?

What the others said it is so I can get something to fit. Same with PJs.

I am much smaller on my bottom half than I am on the top half.

It's brilliant, we wouldn't buy knickers with a one size bra so why shouldn't we have a choice of bra size with our bikinis?

Why not? Not everyone is a textbook size.

it only gets annoying in sale time, when you find half a bikini that you really like..

(note: i haven't worn a bikini since i was 19 years old)

I wish you could get the same in swimsuit option! I always have problem with having to get large swimsuit for boobs but it being too big round my hips afterwards.....

You can get 2 bottoms and one top too. Get more between wash wear out of the tops.

Because I would wear a bikini top, but only with actual shorts not bikini bottoms as my tummy is so buggered. So the bottoms have no use for me.

Try Bravissimo, MissFoodie. They cater for exactly this problem.

I appreciate the arguments for this, but have noticed it is also an excuse to charge more than they could get away with if it was just sold as one item.
