give me reasons!

It is a fab ginger colour in leather. Super quality. Reduced from£140 to £70.

I do not need it, just want it.
I cannot really afford it.

Hangs head in shame.

WhipMeIndiana Tue 12-Jul-11 20:48:15

oh, havent you got a birthday coming up?

you'll only spill ice cream down it anyway

mo3d Tue 12-Jul-11 20:50:43

A reason you shouldn't buy the bag? Hmm let me think.

You already have 10 handbags in your warddrobe?
You have a similar looking bag already, it's just in a different colour?

Any good? smile

OriginalPoster Tue 12-Jul-11 20:53:32

Have any of the bags you have already got made you happy for more than a few days?

Do you regret the money you have spent on bags in the past?

PonceyMcPonce Tue 12-Jul-11 20:54:29

No birthday. No justification.

PonceyMcPonce Tue 12-Jul-11 20:56:44

I do have similar bags.
They have brought me pleasure every time I have used the (shallow)

I have
2 brown bags
1 red one
1 black one
1 grey one
1 green one

At £1-200 each.

That is enough bags for anyone is it not?
<<gets grip on self>>

OriginalPoster Tue 12-Jul-11 21:05:29

Is that £100-£200 or £1-£200?

PonceyMcPonce Tue 12-Jul-11 21:13:56

Not trying to be daft or show offy. Trying to do the carrie Bradshaw thing and quantify what I have already spent on fripperies

LuckyMrsT Tue 12-Jul-11 21:23:25

Link the ginger bag so we can judge help!

Oakmaiden Tue 12-Jul-11 21:24:45

So this bag is really a bargain and it would make you feel happy every time you use it?

Can you afford it?

OriginalPoster Tue 12-Jul-11 21:27:06

If your house was flooding would your bags be in the top ten of things you'd rescue first?

OriginalPoster Tue 12-Jul-11 21:29:05

How about this

Flog your least favorite three on eBay and justify it that way.

PonceyMcPonce Tue 12-Jul-11 21:32:02

Parting me from my bags would be like giving up my first born.

Tis in John Lewis clearance but you will hate it so wont link.

I would not rescue them in a fire, they are not in fire plan!

See I am anal as well as frivolous.

Have looked at bank balance. Computer says no!

OriginalPoster Tue 12-Jul-11 21:35:22

Have you tried Paul McKenna 'I can stop you spending' book and cd, google on amazon.

Geordieminx Tue 12-Jul-11 21:41:01

Link please!

WhipMeIndiana Tue 12-Jul-11 21:42:11

it will get wet in the rain and go all sticky and melty.

oh isn't actually made of ginger then?

OriginalPoster Tue 12-Jul-11 21:44:35

Geordie it is in the clearance so she doesn't want anyone to see it in case it's the last one...

moaningminniewhingesagain Tue 12-Jul-11 21:46:16

Is it this shocker one here?

Get lots of icecreams over summer with £70

PonceyMcPonce Tue 12-Jul-11 21:46:34

Have decided not to. £70 is coincidentally exactly the amount I owe to brown owl for camp. Sigh

caramelwaffle Tue 12-Jul-11 21:47:23

Buy it.

(contrary emoticom)

PonceyMcPonce Tue 12-Jul-11 21:47:42
