40s/50s glamour

Hen do in a couple of weeks. Will be going to day stuff and dinner and then going home as preggers.
40s/50s glamour is the theme. Was going to wear this which I had recently bought - www.johnlewis.com/261124/Product.aspx?source=63258 at the higher price goddamit but the f**king thing has shrunk.
Have a red trench coat and some round nude courts or black and white peep toes.
What else was a 40s/50's style??

Depends which decade you go for. Peep toe shoes will work for both.

40s - pencil skirt, puff or capped sleeve blouse, seamed stockings, peep toe shoes. Or a tea dress.

50s - pencil skirt, capri pants, halter neck top or gypsy top (polka dots or leopard print always work well, circle skirt or dress, or sarong style dress, your peep toe shoes again!

You can get inspiration from online shops such as Tara Starlet, Vivien of Holloway, Heyday Clothing, Dolly Dagger to name a few.

Unique Vintage (www.unique-vintage.com) have a huge range of 40s and 50s style stuff and you can search by era. They're in the US though so you'd have to order super-soon to get it in time. I really like their stuff and their customer service is good.
