Handbag help needed

Ok I NEED a new handbag I currently have two contenters, neither is quite perfect so I need your help to decide between them/find the perfect bag.

Bag 1 is very near perfect but I would prefer a darker brown/tan and it doesn't have any closures on the straps, just the turnpost.

Bag2 Is a lovely colour and a fair bit cheaper but I'm not sure the closure is as secure and the shoulder strap isn't as long as I would like and it is stitched (not on a ring if you see what I mean) so hangs straight with the bag.

Please help me make up my mind, any other suggestions welcome, can go upto £150 for the most perfect bag in the world.

Ok I like both the 1st river island one, though not 100% about the bow thingie on the front and the clarkes one but both are just a bit bigger than I want. I'm not sold on the others.

Ok just found this one but I'm not sure about the colour again it's a bit red and too big (yes and over buget) Smile, but I do like it.

To be honest I think they are all trying too hard to be the mulberry alexa.

Sorry, but I think the alexa is an odd shape and difficult to wear.

Do you love the shape or if I know what you want in a bag can I try and find you something different?

Ok I would like a brown leather satchel that is not too big, has a flap, isn't too fancy, has a long shoulder strap, maybe a be handle but that's not essential.

I like I said the fossil one is near perfect but the colour isn't quite right and I'd prefer a magnetic closure on the straps or something to stop them being loose. I love satchel type bags but having not really had any about for years now everything has to be the alexa like it's the only satchel in the world Sad

I've got this here but its a hobo shape rather than top handle but the buckles are magnet fastening, it does not have a 2nd strap tho...and its over budget....

It's nice but not what I'm looking for, it's too big and I'd like a cross-body type strap sorry should have said that before. Also I really can't stretch the buget that far.

I have this and love it. it's down to about £ 125-130 in Comptoir des Cotonniers shops here I've noticed. The strap will go across my body and I'm very large so would comfortably do so on most people.

PS - don't know if you read French, but it does have two magnetic fastenings as well as the clasp-type one.

Polyhymnia that bag is really nice, a bit bigger than I really want but it's on the list. Grin

Nice bag noddy but I really need a flapover bag to keep the rain out.

If you're near a C des C branch at all, you could look in and see what you thought.

Sadly not such luck, nearest store is either London or Bath, we're almost exactly between the two and no chance of visiting either in the near future (will be in London next Jan but that's a bit of a wait).

Ooh, I like that C des C bag too -- but there are no measurements on the website and the way they have the mannequin holding it you don't get the side view. How big is it, Poly?
