1/2 price jeans but zip broken

Hi, I've seen 5 pocket Steilmann jeans (with plastic/diamonte on the back pockets). They are a super fit and very flattering but the plastic zip is broken. I went to the shop assistant and she was said there was enough off them and she would not give a further reduction to cover cost of repair job. I left but really love them. Do you think I should get them even if I have to pay extra to fix zip. The material is a little stretchy and has a very useful corset effect on navel area! They are reduced from approx. £50 to£25. It was the principle really. Am I cutting my nose off to spite my face.

A good seamstress would fix it for you, if you really love them why not? or you could phone customer services if its a big company and ask them for advice.

Ask at a dry cleaners first to see how much it would cost to have the zip replaced.

Just had a quick google and this place charges £7.50 to replace a zip, so I would think that would be a fairly standard charge.

Thanks for replies. Okay, the cost of the zip is reasonable enough. It's a bit annoying that the other jeans with unbroken zips are same price as the one with the broken zip, so it is in fact more expensive. It was the only one left in that size .

That is a bugger but if you really love them then I think it would be worth it. Good fitting jeans are like gold dust!
