Who recommended the M&S control vest thingies?

Speak up now because I want to give you the biggest snog in the world!

I bought a couple at the weekend and they are FANTASTIC. I've put a couple of lbs on recently due to meds, nothing major but you know when you don't feel as though you look nice in your clothes? Anyway, I've tried them under most things and they really are slimming. They say tummy and waist control, but I find they work wonders on my love handles (I'm such a catch!) as well, and just make me look a lot more 'streamlined'.

Comfy too smile thank you whoever recommended them - I think it was a few people actually.

PinotsKittens Thu 16-Jun-11 19:14:36

Do they make you hot?

Mumelie Thu 16-Jun-11 19:19:00

He he, think I may have been one of the recommendies blush but please no toungues (I have a horrible cold) shock!
They are fab arent they? I wear mine most days and dont find them hot (in any way confused)

linky please!?

MrsMeow Thu 16-Jun-11 19:23:54

Sorry link here

The ones I bought are a kind of lycra material but I wouldn't say I felt overly hot in them - I wore one to work today and was ok, and our shop is really hot plus it was muggy weather where I am. I was comfortable I'd say smile

here and here
Sometimes you may need to go up a size depending on the colour.

MrsMeow Thu 16-Jun-11 19:26:47

Mumelie - ok no tongues, I don't have time to be ill!

Forgot to say, I would advise going up a size. There were only two on the rack when I went in at the weekend, both a size bigger than I'd normally wear but I thought I'd try them and return if too big, but there is NO way I'd fit into my normal size!

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie Thu 16-Jun-11 19:28:24

Do they cater for those of enormous nork? If so, let me at em!

PinotsKittens Thu 16-Jun-11 19:31:44

<plans trip to M&S sans DH & DCs>

<plans to buy Percy Pigs whilst there>

MrsMeow Thu 16-Jun-11 19:34:56

Haha Pinots, I stocked up on Percy Pigs and wine at the same time. That's the beauty of these vests though, you can look all svelte and sexy and still eat cakes!

Colonel - how big? (in a non pervy way!) I'm a 38C so not massive, but they don't squash my boobies down at all. The control panel comes up to just underneath the boobs so the top part is just normal stretchy material if you see what I mean?

PinotsKittens Thu 16-Jun-11 19:42:15

They do Percy Pig ice-cream now too! <am getting side-tracked>

Mumelie Thu 16-Jun-11 19:44:12

Fine on big boobs, I'm a FF cup and are just about wearable

c0rn51lk Thu 16-Jun-11 19:45:07

percy pig ice- cream. You really, really shouldn't have told me that. <salivates>

c0rn51lk Thu 16-Jun-11 19:45:33

are they true to size - is a 12 a 12?

MrsMeow Thu 16-Jun-11 19:45:55

Ice cream? <grabs car keys>

MrsMeow Thu 16-Jun-11 19:46:28

No, I'd definitely go up at least one size.

PinotsKittens Thu 16-Jun-11 19:48:27

YY Ice-cream, and by all accounts it tastes exactly like the sweets not like those rubbish Malteser ones

Gawd love our Marksies!

orienteerer Thu 16-Jun-11 19:54:07

Oooh, sounds good, wish I'd spotted the vests when I bought some "control" undies todayblush.

pointydog Thu 16-Jun-11 20:10:15

Hm. I am interested.

In the vests, not the vom ice cream

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie Thu 16-Jun-11 22:12:55

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie Thu 16-Jun-11 22:37:47

bonkers20 Thu 16-Jun-11 22:41:19

Sigh...I've been a BF advocate for TOO long. I read your subject as "WHO recommends M&S control vest thingies". Shrug...maybe they are good for BF?

MrsMeow Fri 17-Jun-11 15:52:31

Colonel heheh, serves you right for having impressing front bumps!

Bonkers, I reckon they'd be fab for BF - easy to pull up & down smile

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins Fri 17-Jun-11 19:06:07

I might have been a recommender under my old name , they also do mesh versions which are lighter to wear in hot weather (and has a nude colour option)
