I think I've found the world's worst mascara!

Had a £5 off no7 voucher so thought I'd treat myself to a new mascara. I have used no7 'extreme length' before and was quite happy with it but for some insane reason, I thought I would try the 'extravagant lashes' version today.

Well I got it home to try it and it's HORRENDOUS stuff! Clump city. lashes totally stuck together, completely unwearable. So disappointed - only cost £8 with the voucher but still far from happy.
I know mascara is a hot topic on here so thought I would share my experience with all you lot. If anyone would like to recommend a really good mascara for under £15, I will be your friend forever!

Urgh, I have had that one before and felt the same, put me off no7 mascara's. Always spend my £5 off vouchers on the cleansing wipes now Smile

Am not using mascara at the moment as have been having my lashes tinted.

take it back and say you were allergic to it.

Don't buy Tescos Barbara Daly cos thats rubbish too.

I like Natural Collection mascara from Boots and it's only £1.99 - bargain

I always use Boots 17 Va Va Voom Volume mascara. Works really well and not clumpy. (in my opinion!) Forget what it costs but it's definitely less than a tenner.

I was going to say maybe it was 'off' and you just get an exchange, but if someone else has experienced the same then it must just be rubbish.

I think the Maybelline mascaras are fab.

I've tried loads and loads and loads of mascaras, all kinds, expensive and cheap...

But the two I love (at the moment, they're always bringing out new ones that I love more than the last in this brand!) are the red tube 'One by One' and the yellow tube 'Collosal'.

Along with some eyelash curlers, (which I give a quick blast with my hairdryer before using, supposedly it holds the curl and then the mascara sets it like hairspray does for your hair), they're absolutely the best.

Take it back. BOOTS are very good at giving refunds. I bought a bracelet that snapped after one day I MIGHT have over stretched it a bit and they refunded with no fuss. Have also taken bak a pair of supposedly fantastic insoles because they weren't comfy - thought I was chancing it a bit tbh but again no problems.

I LOVE No 7 waterproof mascara :)

JosieRosie - I too have bought that mascara and it is shit. I binned it though as I couldn't be bothered to take it back. Maybelline is good.

For cheap mascara, you can't beat Maybelline.

Avon Super Shock is good. Have just ordered a new one from colleague who does Avon and it's on offer at £5.50. It's really good.

I love Clinique mascaras though more expensive than No 7

Thanks so much everyone. I'm going to take it back and swop it for Maybelline x

The Super Shock is quite good I agree, I like it because it does not transfer, something I seem to get with most mascaras. I mostly use Max Factor (false lash effect I think) But really good is l'oreal voluminous better than lancome hypnose in my view for dramatic lashes, using this, resulted in the only time my husband has commented on my lashes, he thought I had false lashes on.

I bought the curl one in the gold tube, it was awful!

I like every Clinique one i've tried. I also like Maybelline but the last time I bought the one that's in the pink tube with the green lid it gave me sore itchy eyes which is a first.

ps Max Factor 2000 calorie is the best I've used, and I've tried 20 million different ones!

I use blinc, I have very deep-set eyes and anything else gives me panda eyes in moments.

Normally love max factor ones but do not buy Max Factor Lash Extension Effect Mascara.
It's like the Emperor's new clothes - 10 coats later and it still looks like you aren't wearing any and your eyelashes look the same as before.
Very disappointing.

Well I recently bought L'Oreal Telescopic and it actually makes my lashes look shorter than they really are, and clumpy too! Quite an achievement I think!
