Handbags - Lucia in tan or Mariella in pink? One hour before I buy, please vote!

We have £250 to spend on a handbag for our boss. She's around 60, stylish and loves bright colours. The idea is that this gift is a long term thing - not leaving gift, but that kind of set-up, so not something to throw away in a year.

I'm going to buy tonight, as I keep changing my mind all the time anyway.

Please give me your vote:

Lucia in tan,

or

Mariella in pink

Pink one is very much her, but tan one possible more practical / long term?

Thank you ever so much.

PS: TattyDevine, if you see this, sorry for gatecrashing your other thread!

If the pink is more her then go for that one.

Other votes from Tatty's thread so far:

Bottles - Pink
strictlysauvignon - tan
culturevulture - pink
madammecholet - pink

Thanks for vote, toastandmarmiterocks.

Oh, by the way, I was just saying your names out loud when counting votes on other thread, so bottles, sauvignon, culturevulture, madamme..., when dh asked me whether I'm making some kind of list of odd wines. haha.

madammecholet Thu 09-Jun-11 20:42:35

Lol...I wish someone would buy me one smile

dont like the tan on the pink

MisSalLaneous Thu 09-Jun-11 20:44:13

Me too. I got a new stapler at work today, but somehow not really in the same league ...

Halogen Thu 09-Jun-11 20:45:32

Pink! It's lovely. The tan one is very very nice but won't have that wow factor when she opens it.

WhipMeIndiana Thu 09-Jun-11 20:45:58

pink one's far better and saves £4 or just bob down primark and buy a thousand new outfits

MisSalLaneous Thu 09-Jun-11 20:46:09

Why not, FriedaLivery? Serious question, since this is not for me, I'd like to hear all opinions.

If for me, you all had pretend admire etc etc, of course. wink

I LOVE the tan on the pink....really lovely combo and i think makes it more interesting and classy...shows even more that its an expensive bag!??

PonceyMcPonce Thu 09-Jun-11 20:49:01

Mariella. And I am not pink fan, so must be right choice.

MisSalLaneous Thu 09-Jun-11 20:49:53

Halogen, that's what I think too - it's so "wow", and full of energy, like she is. I was just a little worried that it might be very dated in a year, etc.

I'm the most boring cautious person ever though, and bought a grey bag as a wild move the other day hmm

MisSalLaneous Thu 09-Jun-11 20:53:03

Oh, Frieda, sorry, only just realised what you meant. I thought you meant you hated them both (tan and pink bags), so wondered what might be the thing to consider.

strictlysauvignon Thu 09-Jun-11 21:05:40

Oh!! - too much time to think - - - a pink Mariella would be a huge spoil - a pink bag?? for everyday ? -- yes - a huge spoil! - what a treat!!

TattyDevine Thu 09-Jun-11 21:10:25

Pink!

madammecholet Thu 09-Jun-11 21:16:02

Pink...pink....pink!

MisSalLaneous Thu 09-Jun-11 21:16:39

Thank you all SO much. Pink it'll be. Really appreciate the help.

Lucia is my favourite

madammecholet Thu 09-Jun-11 21:18:17

altho I do have the Lucia and that IS lovely as well...

<am i helping>grin

MisSalLaneous Thu 09-Jun-11 21:21:18

grin Ah, I don't care what you say after this time, have decided that overwhelming vote is for pink, so pink it'll be.

However, I might need a tan Lucia for myself... grin

I wish people would stop linking to that site, those bags are so beautiful and I really want one smile

Your boss is a lucky lady, hope she likes her lovely present.

strictlysauvignon Thu 09-Jun-11 21:28:43

Perfect compromise!! - if you have one of each and she is a good friend - you could swop sometimes -- when you need to!! - envy - wish I had friends like that - -
