What is sizing at Reiss and Phase 8 like please?

Quick question that I wonder if anyone can help with. I want to order a dress and have found one that I like on Phase 8 website and another at Reiss. I don't live in the UK so am going to have to order without trying anything on. They are both pretty expensive so I really don't want to get it wrong. I am a size 10 Hobbs in trousers but 8 in Hobbs dresses, slightly smaller than size 10 Oasis and all over the place at jigsaw (size 8 in their dresses but size ten trousers suits can be too tight). From that, can anyone work out what size I would need from Phase 8 and Reiss?

I'd really appreciate any advice!
Thanks

Phase 8 sizing seems to be true to form - a size 10 is a size 10, not a size 8! Hope this helps, I know nothing of Reiss sizing.

You sound like you're the same size as me. I'd go for a size 8 at Reiss.

I find Phase Eight errs on generous - I'm a 12 usually but take a 10 in Phase Eight dresses

Yep, Phase Eight are generous in my experience the 8 may even be too big for you. Definitely don't order a 10. You sound like a Reiss 8 I have Hobbs and Reiss dresses in size 8 which are pretty similar, size-wise.

I think Hobbs is generous - I take an 8 in a jigsaw dress but a 10 in a trouser or skirt, so we are probably similar - 8 in Reiss, it's pretty generous. Not sure about Phase 8 sorry.

Phase Eight not as generous as hobbs which is enormous!

Hmm...I would say I was a 14 in most shops but always a 12 in Reiss (only buy tops and dresses from there) and even then they can be generous. Maybe I am thinner than I thought!

Sorry, no help there really.
