nice knee high boots

anyone any idea where i can get them and they look alright on a chubby but taller lady?

requirements are: they must me leather , black or dark brown, flat or a small heel , quite chunky but not like wellies, and go with jeans and skirts and dresses

any help/suggestions would be gratefully received

That's a shame, I liked those. I can't even get wellies to fit my generous calves (well I can, but the only ones I've see have a paw print design on them - boak).

Ixia. Have you tried short wellies? I have short hunters and they are fab.

Really recommend Duo, they have so much choice, I have the Brindisi and they are briliant, may invest in some smarter ones this winter.

Hmm I went to the Duo shop in Edinburgh - would have been fab for my chunky calves except that the boots were about an inch too short in length.

I'm 5ft 9ins and really liked the ones which shape round your calf - but they were just too short.

There are some other bespoke boot companies online but there is a dodgy one out there which keeps surfacing every so often and ripping people off so I'd do some research or check back on here before making any orders.

wednesday - those brindisi ones are lovely - will have to wait for a refund on these and then order the duo ones...........fingers crossed

thanks ladies!

I have massive calves (44cm) and have these in 3 colours.

I find Duo too baggy on lower leg and ankle.
Clarke's usually OK too.

are duo big on the ankle then? - those ones i returned from schuh were loose around the ankle -i must have very odd shaped legs Confused

Huge calves here, too. The tall FitFlop boots fit me!! (calves about 43 cm).

Clarks - they have a pair that come in tan or black and are around £130. Have a look at the website

Doglover - is that the FitFlop Superboot? My calves are also 43cm, have you tried skinny jeans inside these, was wondering if there would be room.

Yes, it's the Superboot. I've only just got mine and haven't worn them yet - only around the house! Not sure about with jeans - will try later.
