Nipples on high alert

So, I finally get around to buying a nude t-shirt bra from M&S for wearing under white/pale tops. I try it on, it's boring as underwear goes but is a good shape, is very comfortable and proves invisible under a white t-shirt.

But my nips! Despite the cups of the bra being maybe half a cm thick, they are, er, standing to attention very obviously still.

Is there a magic solution I don't know about, or do I just have to up the thickness of the bra? I am a 36C so don't really need padding/cleavage boost.

And who are these people who can wear those sexy sheer bras - do they have tiny nips or do they just throw caution to the wind, so to speak?

I need to be told.
