i think they are

Meglet Sat 28-May-11 21:35:53

They don't work on flat chests IME. They only fitted me when I was pregnant, I did have a couple of nice maternity ones though.

carriedababi Sat 28-May-11 21:55:53

well yes i suppose on flat chests they could look a bit odd

DuchessEm Sat 28-May-11 22:03:50

I agree about flat chests. They look awful on me!

I look horrible in wrap dresses, they sit on my huge belly and make me look like an ancient pregnant crone.

cyb Sat 28-May-11 23:02:28

I think they are very dated. I ahve a black top shop one and keep looking at it wondering whether to wear but it looks so 1990's

ninah Sat 28-May-11 23:03:00

no unless you are look good in a sack gorgeous anyway
mostly they look frumpy

ClenchedBottom Sat 28-May-11 23:03:02

They can be very unforgiving.....

Madlizzy Sat 28-May-11 23:03:17

They make me look like a big boobied weeble.

cornsilks Sat 28-May-11 23:03:49

depends - phase eight do nice ones but the isabella oliver ones have too much fabric around the boobs.

ggirl Sat 28-May-11 23:04:53

hmm depends I have an IO one that makes my boobs look ridiculously huge

TheRedSalamander Sat 28-May-11 23:07:11

I guess. But only if they are actual wraps and not stitched in ones, i.e. you have to thread the belt through so that you can hoik (is that even a word?) your waist/stomach in. Otherwise you can't tailor them to your shape.

CliffTumble Sat 28-May-11 23:08:24

They certainly don't suit my Apple with big boobs shape

smartyparts Sat 28-May-11 23:09:01

They look nice on the slim - ghastly on the fat

Madlizzy Sat 28-May-11 23:11:00

There's no hoiking in of this belly. grin All bought and paid for though. wink

cyb Sat 28-May-11 23:11:25

sorry I know we are talking wrap dresses but look at these funny trousers

MumblingRagDoll Sat 28-May-11 23:11:57

I thought Kate Middleton looked a bugger in this one yesterday....too skinny...so the small boobs thing seems true to me.

cyb Sat 28-May-11 23:12:12

oh sweet baby Moses

7to25 Sat 28-May-11 23:13:24

rarely has a pair of trousers made me laugh so much.

NotaMopsa Sat 28-May-11 23:15:50

i think they make all tits look awful

cornsilks Sat 28-May-11 23:19:15

cyb those trousers are awesome. just need a camels toe to finish them off nicely

Popbiscuit Sat 28-May-11 23:24:01

I love them...unfortunately they look horrible on me. Flat chest=gaping at the top. Plus the jersey clings to your saddlebags curves.

I wish that Jane Austen-style, ankle length, empire-waist dresses were fashionable (and practical) again. It would solve all of my body image issues wardrobe dilemmas.

YesterdaysPants Sat 28-May-11 23:27:17

Thank you for the trousers cyb have ordered

trixymalixy Sat 28-May-11 23:28:18

They can be a bit womanly and dull though...

cornsilks Sat 28-May-11 23:29:29

they also flap open in the wind showing your knickers
