I liked this in the m and s advert on Dannii but on the model onine it looks pants.

Mumsnet opinions needed please

red stripe dress

Was thinking it would be nice for work in the summer.

it could look OK if you have a v small waist and the right colouring, otherwise it could look v frumpy

thanks - think it might require a trip into town to try it on, i agree it has to fit just right, as evidenced by the super skinny model looking drowned by it on there website.

I was hoping it might look summery smart, but not wedding smart - again will have to see.

nick - i work in an office at a university, i sometimes have to do super smart (suit bit) and other days can get away with jeans. In the summer people do tend to wear pretty dresses though.

I also attend conferences and am always on the look out for smart summer dress to look the part next to men in linen suits.

I saw it and liked it, but its pure linen, so in my hands would look like a rag in seconds

hmm little concerned about the linen bit as i sit at a desk for work and not sure how well it will fair.
