What helps with very dry lips?

Can't find anything that will tackle my dry, cracked lips. They look horrid.

Neutrogena immediate repair lip balm is very good, works for me when my lips are dry and peeling.

Boots no. 7 protect and perfect lipcare. About 8 quid but brilliant.

I always use blisteze/blistex and it makes them kinda stingy and tingly in a nice way and they are always better by the next day.

Incidentally, my lips dry out badly when I am pregnant, bfing, very tired or have been partying too hard. I always know it's a sign to get some fruit and veg in me and a night's sleep

Came in to suggest Lansinoh but I think Kamillosan is very similar. Fab stuff.

Never thought about nipple cream. I am 38 weeks so have some in the house in preparation. Will give it a go.

Another vote for Vaseline, mainly because I hate stuff that is perfumed.

Yep vaseline!!! but not the aloe vera or rosy lips versions (they both have a drying effect on me)

Have used lansinoh but it is a bit sticky and stiff if you know what I mean

Chapstick and carmex trigger my cold sores.

Love blistex but th tingle makes me lick my lips,..which is somewhat counterproductive!

Melrose! small chemists, under £3 use it throughout the day and plaster it on before bed. You will wake up with soft lips. I use it every night before bed regardless and have fab kissable lips! mwah!!

I usually rely on Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream to sort out dry lips, but am dabbling with Lansinoh (as am 7 weeks into bf and it's handy at the moment) and am finding it very effective, I warm the tube for a few minutes so it's not too sticky

Carmex moisturising lipbalm ( available at Waitrose...and other places I'm sure!) and Blistex Intensive Moisturiser have both worked their magic in this house over the past few weeks.

Vaseline made DS's lips worse - must be sensitive to it.

You've got to exfoliate first! Either with a flannel, or an old toothbrush.

also find it very important to stay hydrated: if I find my lips drying out, drinking lots of water often helps

I didn't have any blistex around the other night so used normal neutrogena handcream with vaseline on top.
My lips were much better the next morning.
Didn't lick my lips, but I don't think it would taste too good.
