Barbour at Gunwharf Quays

I know there's a Barbour shop at Gunwharf Quays but I don't know if it's an outlet. Anyone know? Or know what the prices are like? If it's a tiny difference it'd not be worth the petrol to get there really, may as well buy online at full price/postage.

Also, I'm torn between two jackets but one doesn't seem to be available anymore. If Gunwharf is an outlet they might have the one I prefer (last season's stock, etc etc.)

It is an outlet. Some of the stuff is half price and I have got a couple of coats from there. Might be worth ringing up and asking if they have the jacket you like in stock (my dh has done this and they are very helpful) to save you a wasted journey.

Next there is awesome, they have a whole range of cheap seconds type stuff. Ditto M&S, although it's a bit small. I love Fat Face too.

If you're that bothered, take the kids to the historic dockyard and pop into the shops afterwards Grin

Its an outlet centre, with lots of good places to eat Grin

I don't have kids Grin Though I have been to the dockyard before.

I'll give them a ring about the jacket tomorrow, good idea.

Thanks!

Oops, sorry, comealong - I tend to assume I'm the only one with no dc's around here Grin

That's all right purple, I do that too!

Rang them this morning. The woman was rude and grumpy and wouldn't check the stock because it would be in the back and she couldn't leave the phone. Hmpf.

I love Gunwharf Quays. There are loads of other fab shops there with really good discount e.g l'occitane, Molton Brown, Gap, Clarks, White Stuff.

If you have got the time I would go as it is a lovely day out, greta places to eat and hopefully you will get your jacket.

Oh dear, I used to work there. The manager is a friend and she's lovely. I will see if she's around tonight.

Oops, sorry mumofloads. I'm sure it wasn't your friend I spoke to!

Think I'll pop down down tomorrow anyway, and if they don't have it I'll order online.

Ooh me too. I have a lovely wax jacket from there that I've had for ages and it's so comfy and warm and amazing. Need a more lightweight thing for spring though, hence new-jacket-buying.

They were doing a lovely lightweight waxed silk jacket in the Amelia style but longer.
I got mine when they were still at the sample stage so not sure if it ever got produced. Tis gorgeous.

That sounds nice... I was going to go for a quilted one for a bit of a change, quite liked the Cheval but that's the one they don't have anymore. Or the Liddesdale.

hi i got my barbour jacket in red barbour international jacket the ones with the black tag saying barbour international jacket in the top right hand side
my dh bought it for me from bentalls i foned everywhere and i was lucky to get one as i got the last size 10 in red and in that style which are nicer jackets mine was 150 pounds
apprently the reason why i couldnt gt my hands on one that quickly is that everywhere had sold out of the padded quiilted jackets as there was a robbery alorry was held up at knife point they stole all the quilted jackets
so thats why there was a shortage and they not making that one no more and bringing out the spring summer collection but it aint much difference the lady told me in the 2 jackets
really bad they stole 800,000 ond worth of padded jackets
so if you gt a international one your lucky
this was in dec that i tried to gt one
and people were selling there padded ones on ebay for more than wat they are worth ob they knew about the hard finding of these jackets and flogged there own one for more
jackets were going for over 200
didnt helpm xmas was around the corner
i dont know when the robbery was in oct i think
you may gt one on ebays i dontknow how much for us people may have stopped selling there own ones now i dont know
ilooked everywhere on websites etc googled it etc
phones up every shop in london
oh iwas willing to travel for it even foned horse shops up and sports shops like in cobham etc as so wanted one
but no where untill i went into bentalls and there was one size 10 left in red i didnt know if iwanted it and told my dh no !!!
but thought abou tit over night and thought na red looked good on me so i foned them up to see if they still had it they did so they reserved it for me till hubby went and got it for me after he finished work
they didnt even have nay at the barbour shop at LHA where hubby works !!!!!!!!!
i was trying every department store every conssionary every babour shop every sports shop lol
hope u gt the jacket you want my one is lovely and warm and fleecy that why i bought it x

pond if you come back this morning, I have spoken to the manager at Barbour. She is not there today but said they have very little stock in at the moment. They have no Liddesdales. She said if you phone her tomorrow, explain who you are. She will try and order you what you want.

Oh thank you mumofloads, that's lovely :) I'm heading back to uni at the weekend so won't be anywhere nearby, so I think I'll wait - there's a Barbour in my uni town so I'll check there for the Liddesdale. If not, I'll be back in town in a few weeks so they may have more stock then.

Thank you very much though, and please say thank you to your friend!
