Style my dress please!

I bought this for a wedding a few months ago and want to recycle it for my work Christmas party.

I'm going to have it taken in so that it is more fitted and wear it with black opaque tights and ankle boots. The dress is silk and slightly shimmery, and with the ruffles does enough to tick the festive party box. But I need:

(a) something for my shoulders - shrug, jacket etc; and

(b) a bit of bling to make it feel properly like Christmas?

Help me ladies please!

How about a big "bib" type necklace like this?

if you can afford it, this would be nice.

Or this is a bargain, as is this and this

Would wear with dangly earrings like this and no necklace.

Not helpful but please wear a good bra under the dress, that model looks terribly shapeless!
How about a necklace with long rectangular beads hanging down to echo the ruffles?

Yes, last time I wore the dress I put a neat little cardigan over the top and long beads and that gave it shape - actually looked very nice and was forgiving of my post-baby bod.

This time I'm going to have it tailored to fit and Silkstalkings I agree a good bra is absolutely essential.

Tethers, the leather number is a bit adventurous for me but you've got me on the black bolero/shrug track and I think that would look very well put together.

I'm drawn towards the fake fur (and long earrings too) but ideally I'd like something to keep on over the whole evening and that's a bit more outdoor glam.

Also having a bit of a bib necklace moment - JustBeachy's wasn't quite right, but I love practically everything on net-a-porter if only they'd knock off a zero or two Grin. What do you think of these alternatives? this or

I think a Silvery Grey Marabou Shrug, shoes like these and perhaps some dark purple something like these or perhaps darker and glass like.

at concept of silver marabou shrug.
Can't find any under £50 but here's a pink one would go nicely (v surly model thoughGrin.
If it wasn't for Christmas you could get a knittin pal to knit you one with some lovely soft fluffy yarn.
