Sorry if this has already been done but I'd love one for the Christmas do. I've seen some beautiful ones on women of all ages this year but haven't seen any really nice ones online. I'm hoping to buy one on Saturday in Manchester and would prefer not to look like Bet Lynch

I'm not that bothered, even some leopard print ones have looked lovely!

What colour is it Liz? £80 is around what I expect to pay. Hoping it'll be my Christmas coat for years to come! Can you post a link?

Just posting a link to today's Wearing It Today
She has a lovely one from French Connection on today. Not my style personally but this girl knows how to get away with these things. Always looks so stylish. Envy

I've recently bought a brown one from New Look. Have been wondering if it will make me look like Bungle from Rainbow Grin. It's not short, but not long (so just past bum length) has a biggish collar and buttons. New Look also have a leopard print one which they've had on a 'grab it' offer (I bought my brown one on that offer too) apparently the leopard print ones have been 'walking out the door' (sales assistant's words) I tried on the leopard print but found on any of them that the collar was sticking up at a funny angle and the hook and eyes didn't stay fastened. I think you have to be careful with the leopard prints as some of them are quite Bet Lynch-ish. Actually, it was funny, I said to the sales assistant who was nearby when I was looking at them, that I thought the leopard print was a bit Bet Lynch-ish, she just sort of laughed, I then saw her in another shop wearing, guess what? A leopard print faux fur coat!! Blush Grin

saw a really nice one in M&S last week, mid brown and very soft, about £80. Or if you can wait until sales start try Hoopers in Wilmslow, a friend of mine got a full lenght one last year for about £140 - at least half price, it is gorgeous and I have major envy.

I do like leopard print, but being blonde I really cannot get away with it without DH sniggering... so I stick to my vintage cream fur coat, which I love. If you don't mind real fur, it may be worthwhile looking at vintage markets/shops around your area, they are likely to have a big choice of stuff around the £80 mark. Now for the faux high street darlings:

Free People dark leopard print - pricey, but sweet
casual ASOS hooded offering
pale grey elegant wonder from Lipsy
another cream offering from Lipsy
belted New Look coat in a choice of cream, black or camel
Per Una abstract print - not a huge fan myself, but maybe that is exactly what you are looking for?
another cream offering, this time from Coast
greige Oasis number
French Connection black stunner - more than you wanted to pay, but lovely nonetheless

What do you think?
