So I boguht this dress in the summer, LOVE it, was recommended on MN, hunted one down and was planning to wear with black tights and black cardi for works Christmas do ...
until ...

...

...

I saw Jane Beale wearing it on Eastenders.
this
I can't wear it to work do now without someone saying "Oh, that's jane Beale's dress isn't it?"

FanjoForTheMincePies Sun 28-Nov-10 22:22:49

i have one of her tops..and when i was wearing it to young guys thought it hilarious to ask me for a bacon sarnie!

But I like it so I wear it, and so should you!

BitOfFun Sun 28-Nov-10 22:24:23

It looks too summery to me to work for a Christmas do anyway. It's fucking freezing out there, you know.

UltimatePomBear Sun 28-Nov-10 22:25:18

Haha - this happened to me once when I'd bought a lovely new top from River Island - but then spotted Janice Battersby wearing it on Corrie!! Never wore it again smile

TheBibiJesus Sun 28-Nov-10 22:25:36

I would just weep, it's not like me to wear anything that bright/colourful so I comment would throw me.
I just like it so much [weak emoticon]

TheBibiJesus Sun 28-Nov-10 22:31:55

The thing is BitofFun, she was wearing it with black tights and a green cardi and it didn't look out of place ...

Oh farkin hell, I'm Jane Beale!

weepootle Sun 28-Nov-10 22:34:12

Just be pleased she's given you a reason not to wear that godawful dress!

TheBibiJesus Sun 28-Nov-10 22:37:53

Little bit harsh there weepootle

tethersjinglebellend Sun 28-Nov-10 22:39:44

weepootle is right. Jane's done you a favour.

TheBibiJesus Sun 28-Nov-10 22:42:10

I so need to find the thread on here where other people liked the dress ... I didn't dream it!
I am not alone in liking the dress (clearly as Jane Beale does too)

dracschick Sun 28-Nov-10 22:46:03

Were you tripping when you bought it? grin janes eyes are always big I reckon shes on a permanent high ......how else could you live with Ian Beale ......

tethersjinglebellend Sun 28-Nov-10 22:46:12

Sorry Bibi.

Shit, I hope I didn't recommend it on the original thread...

BitOfFun Sun 28-Nov-10 22:47:25

I don't know Jane Beale, but is she famous for her splendid sense of style?

dracschick Sun 28-Nov-10 22:49:57

I read she used to work in the circus truly I did ....she had knives thrown at her (by a knife thrower not a chav)

HollyBollyBooBoo Mon 29-Nov-10 00:45:42

It's awful..who recommended it to you..were they joking?

ChippingIn Mon 29-Nov-10 01:21:59

I think if you like it, you should wear it - if anyone comments then say 'No actually, it's mine - I lent it to her!'

grin

MissFlick Mon 29-Nov-10 04:35:39

I really like it! I watch Eastenders and I didn't notice that Jane was wearing this. I think it would look really nice with black tights and a cardi.

Wordsonascreen Mon 29-Nov-10 06:07:47

Really?

I bought a skirt in the M & S sale last summer. I really liked it, until Smithy's Mum turned up in it (and matching jacket) in Gavin and Stacey last Christmas. So I feel for you!

But actually I do hate how the patterns on the dress don't line up; so I don't like the dress, sorry!

TheBibiJesus Mon 29-Nov-10 10:47:38

Okay I get it, the dress is awful. sad

SixtyFootDoll Mon 29-Nov-10 10:49:50

I hate that I had the same curtains as someone in SAlly Webster once.
I had to change them.

5GoldenFimbos Mon 29-Nov-10 10:52:10

She had a top of mine once out of Next, those t-shirty things that looks like you have a camisole underneath it.

The house that Max had, that Phil was living in most recently has my landing roller blind from John Lewis.

This is MY BLIND. It looks nicer in rl and I have a lime green lime and chair next to it.
