Strong sexy perfume- any ideas?

Hi all- My DP has asked me what I would like for Christmas and I'd like a perfume. There are so many to choose from that I end up spraying them all on in the shop and then get fed up! Too much choice! Can you please give me some suggestions on which ones to try, so that I can go to the shops with a short list and actually make a purchase.

I like strong perfumes - think Agent Provocateur.

Grateful for any suggestions!!

I have a book that you need: Perfumes - The A-Z Guide by Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez. It rates every perfume out of 5 stars.

What sort of budget do you have?

Chanel Chance is very strong and spicy and the fragrance lasts for ages.

I find it a bit too strong actually but it is still lovely and I prefer Chanel Allure.

Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. It's pricey but
gorge.ous

I have that Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez book too, it's good isn't it?

Have you tried Creed's Royal Delight. It's outrageous in a very good way.

I was going to recommend Agent Provocateur 'Maitresse'! Do you have that already? I've also got the original AP one in a pink bottle, both are v strong and long lasting.

Otherwise, the Thierry Mugler ones are strong; Angel, Alien etc. I personally can't stand them, but they are very distinctive!

Issey Miyake- L'Eau D'Issey.
Very very distinctive.

Theo Fennell is gorgeous!
Given 5 stars by the aforementioned book (that's why I bought it tbh). I bought it here

Another vote for Chanel Chance. I love it. Coco Mademoiselle is nice too and they're both strong.

How about Chanel Allure Sensuelle?

I bought the Perfume book too. It says of my favourite "Nice enough, if you like that kind of thing!" Talk about damned with faint praise...

Yes, MissMartha, it is a fabulous book. I am slightly obsessed with it, and have bought 5 perfumes since I got it. The list of perfumes I want is as long as my arm!

Right, from the book I would suggest for loud/strong:
Black (Bulgari)
Badgley Mishcka
Lolita Lempicka
Insolence EdP (Guerlain)(use sparingly)
Rush (Gucci)
Byzance (Rochas)
Boucheron (Boucheron)

I don't have any of those myself but they all rate well and are loud/radiant/strong.

I have Narcisio Rodriguez for Her - that is pretty radiant and lasts ages.

One of the nicest I found is 'Lady P' by Penhaligons.

I'd have to ask DP about the budget, but I think up to £60 is ok!!!

Thank you for all the suggestions, I will check them out.

Narcisco Rodriguez for Her is absolutely gorgeous - always get compliments when I wear it and I think well within budget. Bigger Boots sell is as does HoF.

'Gaultier 2' is a lovely strong fragrance, lasts ages.

Agree with namey that Paloma Picasso is lovely. Also, try Black Cashmere by DKNY (very strong) and Joy by Jean Patou. It is (and smells) very expensive but lasts a long time. An absolute classic.

Black Orchid - Tom Ford
Anglomania - Vivienne Westwood
Feminite Du Bois - Serge Lutens (used to be Shuseido)
Infusion d'Iris - Prada

All have that sexy warm spicy scent.

I also love Chanel's Allure Sensuelle for when I'm feeling more girly.
