False nail remover for gel nails??

MIL is housebound at the moment and unable to get her false nails removed.
Can anyone recommend a product for this and where to get it from?
They are gel (calgel??) nails, but she thinks a remover for acrylic nails would also be ok.

You need a nail polish remover with acetone in it, it dissolves the gel and the glue and makes them easier to get off.

I just used cheapy stuff from Superdrug and soaked my nails until I could pull the tips off, then just kept soaking and filing until the gel had gone.

It does take ages though, and will ruin her nails - mine have only just about recovered and this was in August! Could she try and find someone local who will come to her house?

You can buy false nail remover from boots.
Needs acetone in, like mrsm said.

If she slightly files to break top seal then soak, it's better to Soak little bits of cotton wool in it, place on top of each nail and then wrap each nail in tin foil.

Sit looking like Freddy krugar for 10 or so mins and hey presto!

Also is kinder to the surrounding skin.

Pure acetone would be quicker still, think you can still buy it in little brown bottles over the counter at Boots. Her nails will be wrecked and weak even if she has the Calgel professionally removed.

You can get a remover in superdrug called 'get 'em off' it caught my eye because of the name. But I haven't had nail extensions for years so not sure of the results.
