Can I hijack the thread and ask if anyone has had any Howies jeans? The skinnies look very nice but are £80, they are sort of high street - a lot more than M&S but cheaper than the designer brands.

I got a french connection pair recently which so far are bagless !

Primark £8

mrsmoores Wed 10-Nov-10 13:39:02

I have uniqlo ones and they are great, think they are about £29.99. I did buy them in a size down than I usually would.

Just bought them in black and have had a pair in navy since last year, worn and washed them loads and although they have faded they haven't bagged.

here

Debenhams Red Herring, great jeans, no bag and lots of stretch. Love them.

WhyHavePets Wed 10-Nov-10 13:47:25

Primark £8 ones, honestly no bagging even after several washes!

Asda £8 (ish) ones, same as primark, no bagging, lasted ages!

gap - crap

SixtyFootDoll Wed 10-Nov-10 13:53:28

I have asda jeggings and they bag teribly am forever hoiking them up

cyb Wed 10-Nov-10 13:56:22

Primark are the best skinny jeans and really suit my shape (curvy arse ,skinny legs, tall)

vintage4 Wed 10-Nov-10 14:01:18

Yes Primark i am 5 foot 3 and a half don`t forget the half size 10. Tiny bit long in the leg but mostly wear with jeans or just tuck under with pumps

missmartha Wed 10-Nov-10 14:06:33

Matalan, can't remember the make, but skinny jeans for £13.

Have behaved themselves so far.

partyhats Wed 10-Nov-10 14:12:33

Primark are really not too bad, especially for the price. I am 5ft 7 and they are just the right length although a bit too tight in the leg for my liking. I have v skinny legs so makes me look a bit strange unless wearing with boots. Can anyone recommend a skinny jean that is not super skinny?

dottyaboutstripes Wed 10-Nov-10 14:12:55

My two teenage dds have the Primark ones and I'd disagree I'm afraid, plenty of bagging here . But for 8 quid a pop, who cares?!

WhyHavePets Wed 10-Nov-10 14:29:24

Dotty, how often does she wash them and does she tumble dry them?

They shouldn't be tumble dried (ignore the label) as it kills the lycra and encourages bagging and they do need to be washed fairly regularly to pull tehm back into shape. I tend to wash mine every second wear and that keeps them quite nice and tight.

Oh, just thought, neither of them seem to lose any colour either. After lots of washing (inside out) they seem to be the same colour as when I bought them which I am very surprised about tbh as I have black as well as blue!

I've got the same Uniqlo ones as MrsMoore and agree they're fab.

strawberrycake Wed 10-Nov-10 14:33:04

I have topshop jamie ones and there great dont sag but are extremely tight

Merrylegs Wed 10-Nov-10 14:38:21

I have just discovered Only jeans. Think they are the best pair of skinny/stretch jeans I have ever worn. Love them. I paid £29.99 and I have them in grey but I see on the Very website they are around £24 in black.

Every couple of wears we wash them and don't tumble. Maybe they are doing something in them that you are not (the mind boggles)

WhyHavePets Wed 10-Nov-10 22:54:37

Possibly grin

Although I even manage to ride horses in them so I would love to know what it is they do!

WookieetheChew Wed 10-Nov-10 23:30:37

Are we talking baggy bum? Mine are awful for that, but I have (practically) no hips to hold them up.
