MaMoTTaT Mon 08-Nov-10 12:11:01

I usually find my pink timberland make me look less like I should be out horse riding grin

I don't do the legging bit - that helps!
I do jeans with big turn-ups atm. No skinnies. Because, I am not skinny.

bettymoody Mon 08-Nov-10 12:13:44

surely with wide jeans you lok like a pari fo crtains

TheDevilWearsPrimark Mon 08-Nov-10 12:14:27

Don't do it. Go for just above knee jumper dresses with lovely soft cotton long sleeved top under, very very thick tights and silk shorts over the top of the tights. Yes really. This is my winter look and it looks good but feels better.

FranSanDisco Mon 08-Nov-10 12:14:59

I think calf length boots with tunic and leggings looks less 'forgotten me skirt' somehow.

bettymoody Mon 08-Nov-10 12:15:02

LOLOl at silk shorts

to toboggan in?

TheDevilWearsPrimark Mon 08-Nov-10 12:15:29

Hhaha yes, perfect for tobogganing! Dry in seconds

Faaamily Mon 08-Nov-10 12:16:23

I don't do tunics and leggings.

For me, the rule is dresses with leggings or tights, tunics with skinny jeans.

brimfull Mon 08-Nov-10 12:16:54

silk shorts
can you see them or are they to stop the dress clinging?

craftynclothy Mon 08-Nov-10 12:17:12

Yes, as Fran says, calf length boots help to stop the 'forgot my skirt' feeling.

TheDevilWearsPrimark Mon 08-Nov-10 12:17:36

No you can't see them, think netball shorts, just prettier.

fishie Mon 08-Nov-10 12:18:27

faaamily is right.

Dracschick Mon 08-Nov-10 12:18:53

I wear it with chunky jewellry or scarves.

If you really feel bare why not get a couple of short skirts in neutral colours to wear over the top of the leggings but under the tunic iyswim?

bettymoody Mon 08-Nov-10 12:19:18

am still reeling from pink timberlands

Unprune Mon 08-Nov-10 12:20:20

pmsl @ pair of curtains
No I don't

bettymoody Mon 08-Nov-10 12:21:16

long baggy top
and baggy pants

FranSanDisco Mon 08-Nov-10 12:21:30

Silk shorts sound lush - is it to stop cling or just for lushness?

TaudrieTattoo Mon 08-Nov-10 12:22:05

Fascinated by concept of silk shorts.

Linky, please.

TheDevilWearsPrimark Mon 08-Nov-10 12:22:37

It's true, pink timberlands, maybe slightly acceptable on a 2 year old.

I still have issues over a Timberland incident with my aunt. She tried to 'gift' me a pair of baby blue ones she'd bought, but surprisingly never worn, and she was actually offended when I refused. 'But they are decent expensive shoes'. Then you wear them.

TaudrieTattoo Mon 08-Nov-10 12:22:42

Oh, french knickers.

Geddit now.

TaudrieTattoo Mon 08-Nov-10 12:23:41

Tunic and leggings a bit Star Trek.

TheDevilWearsPrimark Mon 08-Nov-10 12:26:14

It does both.

like this

I have loads from 'what katie did' but can't see any on the site

fluffles Mon 08-Nov-10 12:26:53

tunic HAS to really really properly cover your bum to be worn with leggings... if in any doubt about bum coverage wear skinny jeans instead.
