I know, I know, its very early to be asking this question, but just curious.....eye on lots of winter things but refusing to pay full price. smile

woopsidaisy Wed 20-Oct-10 09:29:24

Think it is first week of January.

MayorNaze Wed 20-Oct-10 09:30:45

i seem to recall last year it was start/middle of decemberish...got a few last minute prezzis and some damn fine boots

SerendipityAlways Wed 20-Oct-10 09:32:27

Now that sounds more like it MayorNaze - some of the shoes are lovely but outrageously expensive!!!

MayorNaze Wed 20-Oct-10 09:46:21

i also have a mental shopping list already drawn up wink

SerendipityAlways Wed 20-Oct-10 09:55:38

So do I Mayornaze, please share yours!!

On my mental list, some of the mary jane shoes, maybe a pair of those cute ruffle suede ankle boots, jumpers, cardis and some of the basic jersey tops..oh and maybe a coat if the price is right.

Have had no joy with any of their dresses this season. Have returned 5 of them!! sad

dottyaboutstripes Wed 20-Oct-10 09:58:25

It seems to be around my birthday, so I'm guessing 3rd December - maybe 10th. Which is VERY handy for new Christmas togs for the little ones

MayorNaze Wed 20-Oct-10 10:13:45

oh don't say that about dresses i have just cracked and bought this on ebay

i also very much want this this and this, also these

not a lot then blush

SerendipityAlways Wed 20-Oct-10 10:20:38

Yes to the bloomsbuty t bars and also to the washed velvet coat, I fancy that in the purple! Lovely for Christmas wear!

I hope you like your new dress! I just seem to have been unlucky with the dress selection this season, as I picked up a couple of lovely ones in the Summer range.
The best little thing I bought this A/W was the drapey jersey cardi (blue stripe) and a silver pleated front jumper. Very versatile.

Would be very pleased if the sale was on so early, especially for some kiddie purchases.

Usually first friday in December,I think.

SerendipityAlways Wed 20-Oct-10 11:51:41

Thanks all! Will have list on the ready smile

PheasantPlucker Wed 20-Oct-10 11:55:34

MayorNaze, I have that dress in purple!

HotchpotchHoney Wed 20-Oct-10 12:01:42

beginning of december for the last couple of years. i am hoping they have some of the heels left in a 42, i have the bloomsbury t-bar, they look lovely but they aren;t up to bodens usal standards of comfort and padding in the insole.

SerendipityAlways Wed 20-Oct-10 12:27:13

Hotchpotch - How do you find the sizing on those shoes? I am normally a 40 but have found some of the boden shoes a little narrow in the fit.

HotchpotchHoney Wed 20-Oct-10 12:49:51

yes i go up a size in boden shoes. normally a 7 and i am an 8 in boden.

MayorNaze Wed 20-Oct-10 13:52:02

ooh PheasantPlucker is it as nice as i hope it is??? have you found the sizing ok? i read the reviews and found them a bit mixed but hve ended up going for my usual size confused

kittya Wed 20-Oct-10 14:59:44

I have never found their shoes comfortable, except the plimsolls.

The sale is always 2nd week in December.

kittya Wed 20-Oct-10 16:34:06

but, if you do want the Mary Janes, theres 25% off them today!!

SerendipityAlways Wed 20-Oct-10 18:35:35

Thanks Kittya - just seen that!

MrsC2010 Wed 20-Oct-10 20:08:35

Slightly off topic, has anyone had these?

I like them (and they're 25% off today) but not sure...

Meggles76 Wed 20-Oct-10 20:20:01

Definitely December. I have my eye on the ruffle shoe boots...

MrsJohnDeere Wed 20-Oct-10 20:50:06

Usually first Friday in Dec

kittya Wed 20-Oct-10 22:10:12

I have those plimsolls in Olive and I love them. Do go up a size though and dont forget to put the 15% off code in!!

PheasantPlucker Fri 22-Oct-10 12:25:41

I love it, although the lining does ride down occasionally (as someone mentioned on MN once) MayorNaze. I am going away this weekend and have packed the dress to wear!

Simbacat Fri 22-Oct-10 12:34:28

Don't you find the shoes poor quality for the price? Hobbs offer a much better quality for me. Boden use cheap leather which wrinkles. I have had 2 pairs where stitching has come undonevand a broken zip on a boot- only bought 4 pairs ever. Had over 150 pairs of Hobbs with only one broken heel ever- no splitting, no brogan zips.
