House Coat

I fancy one! My Nan used to wear an old blue nylon one, but I wondered if anyone out there knew where I could get one, maybe a retro type.
Wierd idea, but I hate it when I have nice clothes on then have to cook dinner or do a touch of house work (only a touch!).
It would seem loke a practical solution to have a house coat hung up somewhere that I could sling on.

I know what you mean - really thin nylon, with sleeves, usually a blue or maroon check? All gran types and elderly neighbours had them when I was little.

Is that not the look you were after then?

Yeah they just seem like a practical solution, just that I have bought some nice clothes recently and am worried about splashing them with loo cleaner or the like.
Maybe I will start a new trend and we will all be wearing blue house coats and head scarfs while scrubbing down our front door steps!

topsi - no, no, no.

You are clearly a desperate woman - but has it really come to this?

There must be something else you can try. What about just stopping cleaning?

I want one! I always get somethin on me when cleaning, so usually change into joggers but would prefer one of these! + one for answering the door when I am in a nightie (dressing gowns flap open alot). My aunt wears a blue velvet quilted one & she is beyond cool ... seriously! Grin
