Sunday night blitz

Hello - please can I have a little rant? I am just having my usual Sunday night blitz, as when the kids go home, the house is an absolute pigsty. This is nothing against the children before I get shot down in flames - my DP has improved tremendously in being less Disneyish but still just let's them leave the house in a tip, and treat it like a hotel. Sorry just ranting because I am tired, and just want to sit down and relax, but can't because the whole house is a state :-( #NeedsWineAndSympathy Wine

Aww, I feel your pain. My ds's are scruffy little buggers and make a mess anyway, but add dsd to the mix and it's much worse as she's younger and leaves toys out everywhere and likes to wear her dinner! No matter how much I ask/encourage/bribe/shout, I still have to tidy up after them to some degree.

Can't oh help? Especially with it being mothers day? You deserve a Wine

Been there, feel your pain - DSD's had her own bedroom at our house and it always looked like a bomb had gone off by sunday lunchtime.

I always left DH to tidy it Grin and eventually he made sure she tidied it before she went home.

Even now when she comes for a weekend (she's 22 and at uni ) there's stuff out in every room - I leave it to DH. (I love her really)

Get your DP to do it and crack on with the wine. It's Mother's Day Wink

So why do you keep tidying it? He needs to step up and either get them to do it or do it himself. If you carry on doing it he will never work out that it is an issue.

I don't let mine leave the house until everything is put away.
They panic because they get a roasting from their Mum if they are late so now they start tidying up half an hour before they leave.
(But I still find empty sweet wrappers/drink bottles all over the place though!)
