Ladies bike or fold up bike recommendations

I haven't been cycling once early teens. Whilst at home for local trips and fun and fitness fancied getting a bike for some time. Also not taking the car for short trips to allotment etc.

For storage and ease a fold up sounds like it would work but do I need a proper bike? Don't want to spend loads in case it's not for me

Think I need 16 inch if regular bike.

Would you recommend second hand or just go for new

Did you get one? I’m keen to buy a folding bike with big wheels but it’s such a lot of money and I don’t know where to start!

The Brompton is the best folding bike despite it's small wheels it has awesome gearing that means you don't have to pedal to hard.
