Just heard Chris Horner has been pulled from the Vuelta due to high cortisol levels . I half heard it on Eurosport, not sure of full story.

Hi all, good to see the peleton taking shape. Drama the Chris Horner story is at the link in his name. Basically medical treatment left him with low cortisol levels and as Lampre are part of MPCC he has to withdraw.

Team time trial was a good opener and surprisingly exciting. I may treat myself to a celebratory sherry later in honour of the stage. Next stop Algeciras.
