The important question is, was there pus??

MummySparkle Wed 06-Apr-16 22:17:13

Ouch! I had massive underarm abcesses after having my BCG jab at school. I had weeks of pus from them. I asked my mum if I should get it checked it by a doctor, but she was reluctant to ever let me see one. I've still the scars 10yeaes on. But the pus was glorious!

First time yes there was (this is the third time it's opened)
Surgeons said it wasn't ready to lance, I did it myself. It poured and the smell envyenvy and I have a strong stomach!

Ouch! DS had a large hard lump under his arm a couple of years ago - he was 7 or 8 I think, bless him. He reluctantly let me squeeze it (with DH holding him) and an impressive amount of greenish thick gunk came out. I had to squeeze it twice more over the next week before it started to calm down. I'm always checking in case he has any more! blush But it was nothing compared to yours! Luckily DH is happy for me to squeeze spots/ blocked pores etc on his back/ ears etc, hehehe.

And now I have another! It's not for bursting yet sad
It's sort of half in the same place, half not

hollinhurst84 Mon 22-Aug-16 06:43:32

This is how the scar normally looks, it's so swollen that the indented bit is pushed out

cjt110 Mon 22-Aug-16 12:19:02

That looks very sore sad

hollinhurst84 Mon 22-Aug-16 23:00:33

I have more swelling! And tramadol. Which isn't touching the pain sad

hollinhurst84 Tue 23-Aug-16 22:32:33

hollinhurst84 Thu 25-Aug-16 13:41:48

All done grin I had a general anaesthetic and they drained, excised, cut some more bits off and flushed it and removed some adhesions and packed it

hollinhurst84 Fri 26-Aug-16 21:42:58

Ginmakesitallok Fri 26-Aug-16 21:45:02

hollinhurst84 Tue 06-Sep-16 18:46:29

Healing slowly...

hollinhurst84 Sun 05-Feb-17 23:45:49

Update again! It didn't heal so I have had (another) surgery with local anaesthetic where they have created a skin flap
Bruising is immense, it's v neat though

BaileysAddict Sun 05-Feb-17 23:47:35

Looks similar to Hydradenitis Superativa which I have. Both my underarms resemble yours, however not quite that bad x

hollinhurst84 Mon 06-Feb-17 00:51:42

Yeah I have HS sad
It's only been the past three years my armpit has been affected and it's only one so far so crossed fingers it doesn't spread but it's such an unpredictable thing

Comedyusername Wed 08-Feb-17 01:08:33

That looks very sore. What a nightmare for you flowers but thanks for sharing and updating

hollinhurst84 Wed 08-Feb-17 01:37:08

Loads more bruising but it's looking better I think

BrownEyedLady Wed 08-Feb-17 07:48:47

It looks way better than all the other pics. Hope it heals and that's the last of it!
